Now that I got your attention.

---Sony is preparing a Massive Monster TV. The Grand Wega SXRD 80” is a monument to the human need for bigger and better, and also a giant leap in rear projection technology. Sony believes their new Liquid Crystal on Silicon Technology (SXRD) makes for the finest picture available, and they intend to leverage that fact and bring out the ultimate TV, 80 inches, full 2.35 million pixels, 300,000 more than the highest HD standard, 1920x1080.
---As all of America starts to tear down walls and rearrange furniture, Sony is hard at work on a new technology that automatically flexes Regular and HD Narrow broadcasts to wide screen format seemlessly, instead of the take it or leave it HD screen formats being used today. This on the fly “SuperFlexing” (using those extra 300K pixels), takes away those annoying “black bars” on the sides of narrow band HD broadcasts and flexes the screen all the way to the edge, without the appearance of that stretched fat look to images on the screen...pretty slick.
---Sony hopes to have all this technology packed and ready by summer of ‘07. Can they do it all for the expected retail price of $4999 ?... that is in question, but we can hope.
HOLY SHIT.
