Title: One more month of Daylight Savings Time in the US!
Post by: Van Cruncheon on February 07, 2007, 12:28:00 PM
Quote
The U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005, passed by the U.S. Congress July, 2005, extended Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the U.S. by approximately four weeks. As a result, beginning in 2007, DST will start three weeks earlier on March 11, 2007, and end one week later on November 4, 2007, resulting in a new DST period that is four weeks longer than previously observed.

It's good to see the U.S. Energy Policy Act is focusing on important things and y'know, not like Global Warming.

Sadly no matter what we do at this point, we will be facing at least 100 years of Global Warming consequences. Of course this doesnt mean we shouldnt do anything, it just means that if we do change the way we live to stem the tide of Global Warming we will ensure that we dont have to suffer 200-300 years of consequences ;)

But then our children's children's children can't fight it out over the last decent piece of land.  SO MANY GAMES WON'T COME TRUE!

I can't believe this actually passed.  This is gonna be hilarious when Canada and the US are out of synch.  Just dumb.

The US has been out of sync with itself for some time. Arizona doesn't observe DST.

Looks like Canada is in on doing the whole DST change as well.  We're such followers.

Same thing that happens in all the places that don't do daylight savings?  That's right, it's going to blow up.

seriously! I have to buy 2 alarm clocks, 2 microwaves and 2 PC and laptops a year here in AZ. They didn't blow up over Y2K, but for some reason daylight savings is just too much to handle.

uh, more like, they're pre-programmed to automatically switch the hour either back or forth two times a year at dates that are now void
