This one made me laugh. I wish they took their own advice when they wrote it up:
7. Do you deliver long-winded answers?
Thompson suggests practicing cutting the clutter from your interview answers. She uses a technique where she identifies words as $50 words or $5 words. The object is to construct a sentence using more $50 words than $5 words.
By taking out more of the meaningless words, you are making your statements stronger and better communicating what it is you truly want to say.
$50 dollar words! $5 words!
