Time Bandits is a fun movie, but not of the same calibur as Fisher King or Fear and Loathing... :-[

While not nearly as good as the book, I think the movie adaptation of FaLiLV comes very close to capturing the maddness of it all and Gilliam is probably the only person that could have accomplished this. For that reason alone, I would say it's the best of the available choices.

I've only seen Fear and Loathing out of those and I didn't think it was all that great.
