Title: DKR DS has the shittiest fucking story I've ever seen.

They added some gay ass story segment to the beginning of the game, where the characters are sending fucking notes to each other, and each note is blatant exposition of the same fucking shit you just saw in the previous scene.

What is this shit.

Did anyone care in the original game why Diddy Kong went to hang out with fucking Tip Tup and Tiger Guy?

The screen will go black before and after cutscenes, and you'll see a little speedometer that goes up to 50 or 60 at the bottom of the screen. It finishes loading when it hits 15mph or so, takes 2 seconds. It's just bizarre.

Now we vote on tracks and vehciles. Ancient Lake and Cars.

Very quick and slick, here goes.

Fuck, backing up sucks. Ran into water and hit a wall, wound up in 4th. Got lapped by a guy driving as Wizpig. No lag, someone was able to hit him precisely with a rocket from a good distance.

No drops, no lag.

You can continue a session with the same group of people. I got fuckin lapped without making an error, either Tip Tup sucks online or I suck at this game. It shows you their friend codes over their heads at the start and during the race.

There are paintings of Diddy all over, no idea why. I think the m usic is different.

If DKR is awesome to you, then so is this.

One thing that was immediately obvious is that it's actually fun to race online. No bullshit blue and red shells up your ass constantly, no snaking. It feels like you're actually competing instead of playing Mario Party on wheels.
