Title: Who will become the next president of the United States?
Post by: Phoenix Dark on February 10, 2007, 09:43:27 PM: Rudy is loved by lots of people, but there's no way uber hardcore conservatives will stand for some of his far left beliefs. Despite being Mormon, Romney probably has the best chance of picking up the religious votes.

On the Democrat side, Hillary is the undeniable frontrunner. Edwards might be leading in the polls right now, but once the money game starts he's going to have trouble keeping up with her machine.

He withdrew himself from the race.

I voted Hillary. There isn't any republicans outside of Rudy who can win and I doubt the GOP would nominate RUdy.

Oh and Edwards is no longer leading any polls to my knowledge. He is starting to fade away and this dem primary is growing into a two person race with Obama and Hillary.

Dem Primary is down to Hillary and Obama. In the GOP it's McCain, Romney, and Rudy(conventional wisdom says count him out, he cant win the nomination)

And yet I'm attacked for saying he was desperately trying to hold on to his waning political career. But as you suggested, since the frontrunner in the polls doesn't necessarily match the winner in the primaries, he still has a chance...
