Title: Is Gametrailers the best videogame website there is?
Post by: Itch on February 11, 2007, 09:45:00 AM: Gametrailers is so fucking awesome. It's the only videogame website I go to other than the forums (GAF, here). It's everything I expected something like G4 to be but way better because it's interactive. I love how they are quick getting the latest media up too.

I just don't get how Gametrailers can be so far ahead of the competition when they seemingly came out of nowhere. 6 months ago, I had no idea the site even existed. 1up/1upshow, EGM, G4, Gamespot, IGN... all those things are lame as fuck and make me feel like a fucking distinguished mentally-challenged fellow for liking videogames. Gametrailers somehow manages to outclass them all and not come off as jaded, condescending, sarcastic, stupid or downright embarrasing. That's another thing too, it's easy to use. Quicktime and Windows media formats (I use both Mac and PC) and they don't try to force some lame subscription service on you like other videogame sites that offer comparable content (IGN, Gamespot).

They aren't perfect but fuck if I know of any other videogame related publication that's better.

I like their comparison on GoW and Resistance and CoD3 on PS3 and 360. They did it really well with no bias. They had awesome categories, stuff I really wanted to know. And they were both in HD.

The thing is, with GT you can tell they aren't ashamed to talk about games like say, on G4 or whatever. They let their hearts, and act as if they know what they're talking about with being either of those categories you just listed.
