Title: What does it take to become the Governor in Pirates?

I saved my entire family, got revenge on the evil Marquis, killed all the pirates, found all their treasure, found all the Aztec cities, married a hot babe, got like 8,000 acres of land and a bunch of gold. The French pirate Ash Williams and his flagship of Necronomicon should've been awarded the highest honor of Governor of Guadeloupe upon retirement, but I got one notch below - Bishop.
