Eastern Michigan University has a refund for you in the amount of $1,184.00, but we are not sure how to deliver your money to you. Currently, we do not have a preference on file for you.
If you have not activated your Eagle OneCard, please do so now so that your refund is not further delayed.

Just got an email with this information. I'm going to contact the school and see what's up; I want to know why that refund occured. I can use the money however I want, but hm...
Once I activated my MET scholarship I was given 120 credits in the state of Michigan for free, so I'm covered for this current semester as well as the last one. My parents haven't paid anything for classes outside of a few books. Interestingly, they don't know anything about this money either. Which means I could probably spend it without them knowing - it's going to be sent to my EMU debit card.
While that sounds exciting, it's not the most truthful thing to do. Yea the money is "mine" I suppose, but I'm going to get my parents input first. That way it won't come back to bite me in the ass in the future if they find out lol. I could use it to help pay for the mortgage of my campus house, as well as books. Hell there'd be money left over for stuff I want as well.

I'd say put aside about 200 for spending just because it's AWESOME, and then save the rest.

Just give it to me, stupid.
