Title: Anyone doing this Old Spice rewards challenge thing?
Post by: Saint Cornelius on February 12, 2007, 12:51:03 PM
Info here (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/news/2007/0205-xboxrewards.htm)

It says to check back on the 12th to sign up... but no sign up information is available as of yet. I've been holding off on playing any games so that I can boost up my achivement scores with the quickness (note: Fuzion Frenzy is easy as fuck to get achivements).

Anyone else going to do this shit? Everyone gets a copy of Contra and a gamerpic, at the very least!

I'm surprised that there are achivements you haven't unlocked yet!

Have you been able to sign up? I keep going to the page but there's no sign up info yet.

Quote
Old Spice is teaming with Xbox on the first Xbox Rewards Challenge to prove that Experience is Everything. Starting February 12, you will be challenged to increase your Gamerscore by 1,500 or more before April 12. Successfully complete the Challenge and get a Rewards Package*, and Old Spice will give you the gift of experience—all Level 1 and 2 participants will receive a level upgrade for 2007.

Ready to get your Rewards Package? The first step is to register for Xbox Rewards and join the Old Spice Experience Challenge. Then, it's up to you to complete the task within the time limit. You can't register until February 12. Some of the rewards within the Rewards Package are limited in quantity, and will be distributed to those who complete the challenge the fastest, so be quick about it.

So, no matter which one of the three tiers you're in, you just gotta get 1500 points - then you move to the next tier for the next contest?

I guess so, it's really confusing how they explain it

I figured all I had to do was register, but apparently you have to get the 1500 anyway, but there are certain games and they havent even gone into detail on that

Yeah, this certain game thing may make it more difficult that it's worth. We'll see.

I still need to pick up another 300 points so I can enter as 10,000/Level 3. Why can't you register? Is the contest filled or the site just glitchy?

Hm its taking forever to load the login page...

I did end up registering, finally. You had to click the "register" button instead of the "sign in" one, or else you'd be stuck in loading hell forever.

So now I've got a month to get 1,500 achivement points... should be able to get quite a bit with Fuzion Frenzy II! Eragon is supposed to be easy as hell to get points, according to achieve360points.com (http://www.achieve360points.com/list/diff1), along with Open Season, Pimp My Ride, and some other really terrible games.

You aren't registered yet

You have to sign up for the actual challenge itself now.

Are you sure? When I search for my gamertag, it shows that I am signed up.

How it works is like this

You register for the Xbox Rewards Program -> You sign up for the Old Spice Challenge -> Earn your 1500 -> Go back to the challenge page and say "I'm finished"

I registered for the program, did about 330 points from Lost Planet, then found out none of it even counted since I didnt sign up for the challenge

I played some Lost Planet earlier today after joining the challenge, but now the site is "Error" and I'm uincertain if my points will even count now when they bring it back up
