PD what do you say to all the film critics and organizations out there that call 2001 one of the greatest films of all time?
Not just technically in a King Kong way but as a FILM.
Here is a challenge. Find a 2001 review from ANY respected outlet that calls it anything less than one of the greatest films ever.
The general consensus is Casablanca, The Godfather, & 2001 tend to go hand in hand as some of the all time greats. I bet you can't find any to break that trend!
Now, seen in the actual 2001, it's less a visionary masterpiece than a crackpot Looney Tune, pretentious, abysmally slow, amateurishly acted and, above all, wrong.:bow

(LOTR, Star Wars, A Beautiful Mind, Scarface, Aliens, etc)I enjoyed all of those listed. Ron Howard is a sad sad little guilty pleasure of mine. Mainly 80's Ron Howard.
