Title: what a good resolution for games
Post by: Cupil on February 15, 2007, 10:45:17 PM
i've been playing in 1280x1024 since i got a new vid card, because that's the res of my screen

it seems like it would be better to have a widescreen for recent games

actually i'm not really sure which if better, wide or square??

if i get a new lcd it would probably be a wide one with 1600x1050 or whatever that res is, the one that comes in 20 inchers.  i saw some that are 1400x950  but i would feel ripped off to buy a new screen for 300 buxx and end up with less pixels in the vertical direction.

widescreen but I don't think many PC games have that option.

Widescreen is awesome if you have a widescreen lol. I use it for half life 2.

i'd be a showoff if i was at 1900x1200! 1680x1050 is less pixels to fill than 1600x1200!

So it is, I withdraw my statement.
