I really like futurama but my childhood was filled with awesomeness known as the simpsons.
-
Both are pretty good.
-
Simpsons total. They were so good for so long.
-
The Simpsons at its peak was superior.
-
Futurama for sure
-
i think this is commonly referred to as a "false choice"
-
The one with my favorite animated character ever, of course.

Futurama wins.
-
simpsons is the best show on tv
-
Never seen either
-
Futurama; Simpsons was godly in its prime, but at this point has just about as much total suck and I don't even care anymore. Futurama didn't last long enough for me to start hating it.

Never seen either
you grew up in the early 90's yet never saw simpsons?

Neither. They're both a whole lot of suck.

That is rather hard to believe. What family didn't watch the Simpsons back then?

Mine, who thought it wasn't for kids. And then when I got old enough to actually watch it (16 I think) I had seen so many stupid previews of it during sports games that I had no interest in it. Saw a bit of it, didn't think it was funny, and went back to my sports. Even now that I live alone and have my own TV I rarely watch anything on it, outside of sports, movies I haven't seen before, and the news everynow and then.

Old enough to watch it is 16? Simpsons is no South Park. Most kids around 8-10 watched it back then, easily.
-
lulz homeschooled

My parents didn't like the sarcastic, "disrespectful" way the kids treated their parents at times, and they felt most of the jokes went over young kid's heads anyway. Meh who cares, it's a horrible show. I certainly didn't miss anything.
Instead I watched Seinfeld

Seinfeld was intended for a MUCH older audience. A show that talks about sex quite often is ok for little PD but a show that has disrespectful kids isn't?
You had kooky parents.

I couldn't watch all the episodes obviously. My parents had so much of it memorized that if I walked in during certain episodes they'd let me stay (soup Nazi, banned from the fruit store, etc) while during others I'd have to leave (fakin it, etc)

lol I loved seinfeld when I was little even though most went over my head. When I was like 8 or so some friends and I would a lot of times would act it out. :-\
