Before I got this thing I would have no problem playing other games, but since recieving the X360 all I've focused on is just that. Maybe because it is a new toy, but I haven't had any other games to play besides Dead Rising and XBLA. I want to dive into one of the RPGs I left off at on my PS2 (Wild ARMs Alter Code F, Tales of Destiny 2 (PSX)) but I just don't have the urge to bother.
I'm almost to the point where I want to sell off majority if not all my games besides the X360, PS2 (FFXII, etc.), and Gamecube (Zelda, Baten Kaitos 2, Super Paper Mario), and GBA/DS.
And I don't even have an HD yet, I imagine once I cross that line I'll be X360 exclusive period.
Maybe I should just go into Piracy and save my money.
I look at release lists, and there really aren't any games worth bothering on any console until at least October, so I figure I can try and finish whatever I can and just get rid of all this crap.
-
I dunno what the big HDTV hooplah was about aside from selling them. Dont need it.
-
You don't need it, but I want it.
-
We all want it.
-
The come get it.

I'm just so spoiled I felt the n wasn't worth my time, much like these games on my shelves.

demi I felt the same way (and still do). Just wait till you play it in HD, you won't be able to look at the PS2 again (so sell it all and buy a HDTV :D).
-
I wish I could afford a Xbox 360 :(
-
I also signed up for GamezNFlix.com, an online rental service, so I'm thinking I don't really even need to buy games anymore, I can just rent it out if the local place doesn't have any copies in. I think I'm going to be a rental exclusive except for the random RPG or GBA/DS game, I love my DS.
-
I am thinking about trying out one of those renting services. I really blow a lot of money on games that I don't play. Stick to just buying X360 games and the occasional DS or PSP game and rent the rest (save for AAA games like FF12 and GH2).
What is the turn around for those places? How long do you have to wait for new releases?
-
They shipped my first two games (Kameo & Far Cry Instincts) the day after I registered and set up a Queue, I'm guessing I should have them by tomorrow (Monday). Keep them until I am finished, and send them off.
I guess I'll keep you posted if you want to wait.

if you're a real hardcore gamer, next-gen will most probably get old fast and won't satisfy your gaming needs much longer, as the current games for Xbox 360 lack substance for the most part when compared to the games of last gen, and of course so will the first PS3 efforts
I got back to last-gen's offerings really fast, next-gen just isn't solid enough right now... I'll take solid gameplay and long adventures over slick high-def graphics any day
-
You mean you'll take tedious Jappy RPGs over any other genre. Don't blame next-gen for your genre blinders.
-
No, I can't say I will get old of my X360 anytime soon, I love it. I video chat and voice chat with Robby on it, one of the main reasons for purchasing it, along with the variety of games we can play, or we can just talk while playing games.
I like RPGs as much as the next person. You've had a clear bias against the X360 since owning it, every game you've played you have marked off your list -- it's pretty much expected. I expect you to chime in the same schpiel when Gears of War is released, or Lost Planet, or fuck even Halo 3.

Me too brother. I haven't had money in quite a while, and I'm starting to feel like Deadmeat :'(

not really, even if I love the genre I loathe most JRPGs as they are of crappy quality, just like any other genre
80% of my time is spent with fighters, platformers, shmups, puzzle and action games... the system just isn't mature enough yet and lacks variety IMO to become a predominant gaming platform, especially with the endless variety and choice proposed by the PS2
and even if I'm severe I loved Ridge Racer 6, Condemned and Table Tennis for the record
-
Yeah well a console that has been out for like less than a year will tend to have less variety than a console that has been on the market since 2001.
-
I felt the same way. For a couple of days lol.
And I have HD.

which is exactly why people shouldn't put it away yet, as it has tons of undiscovered gems, and tons of great games still to be released -- and then you can go full throttle and head full time in HD gaming after it's mellowed
-
Wait...does Xbox360 even have any really good titles yet?
-
Just Oblivion.
-
Got my games today, they were shipped Saturday and received today, so that's pretty quick.

The discs are in OK condition, there are obvious signs of use from previous rentals I assume

Kameo is awesome
-
Kameo is really awful, I bet demi won't like it
-
Kameo is awesome and youre a dumb.
-
I wound up liking Kameo despite my best efforts to hate it.
-
Haha, you liked a game made by Rare.
-
haha, i'm gay now. :(
-
Why don't you go buy Perfect Dark and that gay pinata game while you're at it :lol
-
:hyper VIVA PINATA :hyper
gimme dem google eyes and british poop jokes stat
-
Kameo does suck.
-
Should have been on the Gamecube. What a fucking boring game. I am only playing it for the achievement points, then I am going to try Co-Op with Robby when he gets the chance.
Far Cry isn't anything better, and the lack of achievement points (multiplayer based) pretty much flatlines this one, I'll probably send them back when I get done with Kameo.
-
Your taste in games is horrible.
-
I like Dead Rising, though.
-
I think you just like games with "Rising" in the title.
-
orf
-
yeah, it's just frustrating to constantly switch furry monsters to change the control setup and decide however to unlock those series of puzzle, not fun at all
I am only playing it for the achievement points
you're seriously doing this? who gives a damn about those unevenly distributed scores
-
Clearly not you, though I can see why.
-
i mean, it's a stupid elitist system with meaningless scores awarded differently (and incompetently) from one game to another
and what counts is strictly to play games, have adventures and have fun isn't it? why bother with a sucky elitist system that tracks down everything you do, there's always someone better than you
i don't like the stupid "You have unlocked an achievement in the game WOW!" warnings that constantly pop up, wish there was an option in the dashboard to completely disable that shit :/
-
They need wahchievements for you, Jotaro.
Actually, Sony's entitlements -- or maybe they'll call them validations -- seem nominally more your style. :lol

Mondain is a game hating mutant virgin, pay him no mind for he sucks at Phantom Dust.
