Sonic is a shitty game, but god damn does it look good.
Holy shit I never realized how bad the Wii looks until I can see it in HD - oh my.
-
Haha, for all its 'innovation' the Wii is some old and cheap tech.
-
MAF wait till you (I know you will) eventually get a Wii - I'm not a nit picker, but godddd DAMN it looks awful.
-
Im not getting a Wii. Ill just keep playing it drunk while at a friends house.
-
Wii looks fine on my TV.
-
It probably looks fine on CRT based HDTVs but it must look absolutely shitty on LCD (or other fixed pixel displays)
-
Looks fine on my TV with the component cables (Pioneer 42" plasma). VC games look especially nice in 480p, except I'm not a big fan of the filtering used by the Turbo games.

Cuntface Sfag forced to lick nuts/ owned

The Wii is pretty crap tech. But hey: WAGGLE AM I RITE
-
lol, sonic
OMG THE GRAPHICS
It doesnt look that good.
-
Sonic on Wii <3

Oh just come out of the closet already. Your friends Wii is probably sore.
-
it has worse picture quality than the PS2, as if it was possible
-
3mb framebuffer! I see lots of dithering...like an abnormal amount.
-
Looks good on my RP LCD TV. But when you're number 1 in the NPD people like to hate ya know?
-
woops! lol

VF4 Evo looked great back in the day, and still looks better than almost every Wii game available. Besides, what Wii game actually has mechanics good enough to excuse its last-gen ugliness? Hint: none of them

That's, like, your opinion, man
And please - give me a game like ExciteTruck, being a ripoff of the Burnout franchise with a different control scheme than any console has ever used before, over yet ANOTHER fucking fighting game. I don't care how deep or robust or life-like the grappling system is, it's still one person fighting another fucking person. *yawn*
But that's just my shitty, horribly misinformed opinion
-
i've been saying this since launch day when i fired up the wii on my LCD HDTV. it looks much better on a tube tv.
-
Sonic Wii looks pretty nice, although I'll chalk that up to art direction more than any technological capabilities... DQ Swords looks good too, and I'm sure Crystal Chronicles will look excellent. Mario Galaxy looked very impressive at E3 and a pretty big leap over every other Wii game released so far. I'm pretty disappointed with the way developers are shitting out the shittiest graphics on the thing; yeah I know Nintendo is on this whole "graphics don't matter" kick but if a game developer puts no effort into graphics then I kinda figure they haven't put any effort into the rest of the game :P

The Wii will never attain that perfect sharpness and clairty both the PS3 and 360 can provide :drool. Its truely like wearing glasses for the first time after years of being nearsighted and not fixing it.
The thing is, some games don't need the jump in resolution and perfect Image Quality. Drives the point home when Kojima openly states that HD is kinda a non issue to him since he prefers to dirty up and really stylize his games (thus negating one of the reasons HD is so beneficial).

Will component cables really help out the picture THAT much though? The thing about it is that everything is so blurry - perhaps it does need to be a bit sharper, and BT I agree, if you get 1080p wait till you see flOw, such a simple game, but the colors in HD sharpness are beautiful.
-
Component makes a huge difference.

Well, I definitely noticed the difference after using component cables... Made things sharper, although some things looked almost TOO sharp (namely, Link got pretty jaggy looking). How does flOw differ from the Flash game? I admittedly haven't read too much about it.

Awesome, I'm gonna compare my composite PS3 cables to the HDMI one real quick to see how haha.
tiesto; I actually just snagged the flOw trailer just to check out the concept, apparently though, from what the users are saying, it's not THAT much different sans the brillant use of the color palette and the sound composition.
It also is probably the first game to be fully built around the SIXAXIS controller.

Um, yes. No wonder you think it looks like shit.

Fixed haha
