That's right.
I'm listening to The Sweet Escape and all the worst songs on it are by the Neptunes including that annoying yodeling song. Nellee Hooper and Akon completely destroyed them on this album. It's embarrassing. I think they've emptied their bag of tricks or their co-producers are dropping the ball. Every song sounds the same and they just aren't very good. Oh yeah, and Pharrell's album was pure shite. Robin Thicke is the only good thing associated with the Neptunes and I'm not even sure how much credit they deserve there.
I still think they are talented cats but their sound is so played it's not even funny.

Amen. I can't stand Gwen no matter who's producing her (well, except that one song that features the sample made popular in Big Poppa by Biggie) but the shit she does with the Neptunes is almost always trash. The yodeling song is disgraceful, as is that B-A-N-A-N-A-S song wtf.
Their producing is rarely catchy and it seems like they're trying to recapture the magic from their older stuff. When artists fall into that hole it's never pretty.
