That's what I was about to say; I remember seeing a teaser or trailer for this a lonnnng time ago. I actually thought the movie came out already.

Looks interesting. Se7en was a great movie, and could have been awesome if Brad Pitt wasn't in it.

This pretty much goes against everything that's come out of this project. Again, like I said, Fincher is so protective and being a perfectionist about this project that the delays are not suprising.

I'm talkin bout Fight Club, The Game, and Se7en. None of them are perfect, but they all have a sort of manic dark electricity to them.

I dunno, after Panic Room, I'm having a bit of trouble getting totally excited for a Fincher movie again.

Aliens is a great action movie, but as far as the tone of the original goes - a tight suspense movie in a claustrophobic, closed environment - 3 does it better than 2. Don't get me wrong, Aliens is a fantastic movie, and 3 is messy and fairly mediocre, but 3 is still the better Alien movie.

I enjoyed it quite a bit when it came out, and I fell into that demographic, but revisiting the movie at my old age of 24, it all feels ridiculous.

my only problem... when zodiac kills(or attempts in the case of the male) the couple at the lake... it is a very well made scene and very accurate... except one part... the male victim just before the attack told zodiac "i cant stand to see her stabbed, stab me first." to which zodiac replied "ill do just that" other than that i have no complaints about the movie...

Pretty much. I felt the first "half" (or maybe the first two thirds) could have used some cutting, but otherwise it was a great film. B+

I was kind of tired and a little bit sick, so my immediate reaction after leaving was "that was long and it sucked sitting so close to the damn screen". After digesting it last night and this morning, I think I can venture a few more opinions:

1. It's not "The first great film of 2007", or whatever the hype train was claiming. It's a well done movie that feels a little bloated and

2. Suffers from Jake Gyllenhaal's "acting". However

3. Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr. do wonderful jobs in their roles. Not enough for Chloe Sevigny to do, though.

4. I'm going to buy the Donovan track "Here Comes the Hurdy Gurdy Man" off of itunes when I get home. The damn thing is stuck in my head.

Overall it was a pretty solid movie but not quite as awesome as Fincher's other movies. Those of you who are way into serial killers and dumb shit like that will probably like it more than I do, but we've already established your poor taste. Er. Moderate apologies for the insult. I give it a solid if uninspiring 7/10.
