What's the basis of this?  Because McTiernan won't be directing?

I think the problem is that Willis has other characters that sport the bald look, and it's hard for us to shake the fact that McClaine should have hair.  And he can still grow hair, so this was a personal decision.

The director is the director of Underworld and Underworld: Evolution. Those are his only two so far. However he the other films he worked on were Godzilla, Men in Black, & Stargate.

He hasn't been part of a single good movie.

The writer has only written two films, both critically banned and both have under a 4.5 on imdb.

A bad director and a bad writer = not much faith, if any.

yep. This film can't be good with a horrible writer and a horrible director unless there is a miracle.

And Kevin Smith plays a semi-serious role. :-\

McTiernan is in jail!

Len Wiseman isn't a horrible director by any means, and Stargate was thoroughly entertaining!  It doesn't take a lot of directing muscle to make a decent Die Hard film, and it's not like McTiernan has directed anything approaching decent in over 10 years.

Also, the screenplay has undergone massive re-writes, as the initial story didn't even have anything to do with McClaine.  They just took this hacker thriller and mixed it with Die Hard, much in the same way that they came up with Die Hard With a Vengeance.  As far as I know, nobody even has the shooting script, which was re-written when New Orleans got trashed due to a similar scene in the movie.

Yeah he should have hair. Although his hairline was pretty spotty in 13 Blocks.

That sums it up for me. He's had hair in many movies within the last couple years, including Sin City. Even if it was a wig I'd be fine with it.

Although despite the bald head, he looks BADASS in that poster. But the "4.0" thing is stupid

Live Free or Die Hard is the final title.  This is obviously a promotional poster from when the film was called Die Hard 4.0.

The only thing I don't like about this film is that it's basically 24: THE MOTION PICTURE with John McClaine instead of Jack Bauer.

WHO WILL SAVE AMERICA IN ITS DARKEST HOUR?
