Title: how do you guys like my graphic design mid term project (2001: ASO collage)

sucks it's not wallpaper size but I'll try to make it fix wallpaper dimensions at least. I made part of the image reflectl the acid trip landing on Jupiter.

I like it I guess. It took me 30 minutes to do so I can't complain. Give suggestions! I'm edging Hal's eye now so it's not so grungey.

There it goes! Wallpaper size!

The blending is pretty good save for the planet on the right - you can easily see the borders and the lines really stick out.  Looks pretty ugh.

In terms of design, I'm not really a fan.  It kind of looks like Galactus' vomit.

IMO, alot of the for/mid-ground objects look like they were jsut pasted on top. The background and HAL's eye are pretty cool, though.

Oh, and for once I agree with Willco. The design is kinda bleh.

Colorizing the ship would be your best bet unless you want to add something else.

Maybe you could put one of the other astronaut's corpses floating out in space and colorize it.

You need to adjust the balance in your image.  When I look at the picture my eye is automatically drawn to the right half.  Your use of oranges and blues is a good mix.  The satellite to the right looks very flat and actually detracts from the overall image.  Your text selection is fine as is, but it could be better.  Right now it looks too much like text out of magazine articles instead of the space theme you're going for.  Maybe something thinner with letters spaced farther apart?  I do like how you used all caps though - it gives the title more impact.  Also the title may look better without the white line above the title box.  It grounds the overall feel - something you may not want in a space themed design.

I hope that helps.  Good luck with your assignment.   :)

When I look at it, my eye is automatically drawn to the eye in the center..

The font is that way because that's the typical 2001 font. Look at the sources I used.  ;)

Yeah, I think I could make the line a biiiit less opaque.

Himu, I liked HALs eye better in the first version.  actally I liked the first version better.  It felt passionate.  That being said C at best is right, sorry buddy.
