Title: Need a good gaming mouse
Post by: Phoenix Dark on March 01, 2007, 06:30:16 PM
Ok guys any ideas on a good mouse for PC gaming, mainly FPS? I've been told the Razers are good, but which one? Although I hate the prospect of paying $50 for a mouse I'll do it if it's an awesome one.

Adjustable sensitivity on the fly, ftw. :bow

This mouse has to be the highest quality 1600-dpi mouse out there! I don't even think the Razorback comapares to this, my friend has a Razorback and the feel just isn't the same. The mouse' glossy texture makes it look like its got a liquid metal surface to it, really cool. Sweet mouse, if you are a gamer, this is all you'll need to dominate at the next LAN party.

I got the MX1000 because I'm not hardcore enough to care about sensitivity.

thats also a good mouse, but wireless makes me think lag time, even though it may be in my head.

The reviews said it was a pretty reasonable wireless mouse for gaming. It is leaps better than my dieing Belkin optical was.

I nabbed a Microsoft Habu by Razer the other day (because I get them teh cheap).  The firmware was a tricky tricky bitch to get updated, and the software is still a revision away from being perfect, but holy shit at the sensitivity.

Basically my motivation in getting a new mouse is my progression in FPS. I started playing FPS with a trackball mouse and was pretty good with it; it was really easy to make rapid 360degree turns with it and such. But I got to a point where I noticed I still wasn't better than some of my clan's best players. They just seemed a second or two ahead of me at all times. I'm hoping a mouse with nice sensitivity and pixel perfect aiming will remedy this.
