I never bothered with this game. Why aren't you on the Supreme Commander train anyway? It seems like such a natural fit for you, provided you can get past the obnoxious, I'm-a-beautiful-snowflake, TA fanboys.

a) supcom will run like shit on my laptop
b) armies of exigo runs awesome on it, and i found it when i was hunting for my wc3 install discs
c) if i get on my gaming pc, i'll just wind up playing wow
d) bullet witch actually is pretty fun!

I uninstalled it and replaced it with Dungeon Siege 2.

Pluses:

+ decent engine and art
+ good interface
+ cool albeit somewhat generic units

Minuses:
- everything else. Dumbest AI ever.
- terrible, terrible balance

but then I'd hafta sit at the main PC to play it and my NEW LAPTOP WOULD FEEL NEGLECTED
