Title: Little Big Planet just owned the entire Next Generation

Not even joking... this game right here put the biggest smile on my face. I will buy a PS3 for this game and that $600 will be entirely worth it.

gametrailers has the gameplay demo of it.  It plays like donkey konga, but less fun.  I don't get why this game is a big deal.

No the 2 minute trailer didn't really impress me... but I then watched the entire demo for the keynote and it did impress me. It just seems so fresh... and I could seriously see myself playing that game for years and years.

Btw... so people don't think I am some Sony shill or something... I thought Home looked distinguished mentally-challenged.

I personally think it's not bad as a download on PSN if you play it in multiplayer, but I don't get why there's so much hype for it.

I think it looks very nice, really nice. Gameplay? You saw in that teaser video there are some problems, most Physics-based games are always all finicky.

Let's get this out of the way: I own a PS3.

Ok, now with that done, Home really does nothing for me.

Little Big Planet, on the other hand, looks like a lot of fun. It's the type of game that I can see my wife and I really enjoying together.

The Go! Team music doesn't hurt, either.  :)

I agree, I don't see it being a big system seller, seeing how the PS3 is too expensive for the average family. If the price was lower, maybe, but I just don't see it happening for the time being.

But still, it looks incredibly fun. I can't wait for the demo in the spring/summer!

The game looks like a lot of fun. It appears to have interesting physics-based gameplay and community features but it hasn't "owned" anything yet.

Well, I guess there is one. I should probably read over things a third time to make sure I didn't miss something. You're still awfully aggressive about jumping all over people who like the PS3 and anything related to it.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Some people are willing and can afford to spend $600 on one title, whereas others cannot.

This is already the next overhyped GAF game. I watched the vid and it looked kinda fun, but the music annoyed the hell out of me (placeholder thankfully) and watching how stupid some of the people playing were I already hate the collaborative elements.

It's a nice idea but it's not as earth shattering as people want to believe. It's definitely not a system seller for the masses.

It looks like a cool game, as I said, but this isn't a system seller. I don't think the PS3 will have one system seller, unfortunately. More than any other system of late, it needs a library.

MGS2 ruined the series' popularity. I mean it was a great game but holy shit did it ruin all further MGS hype and sales. When MGS3 came out it was like I was the only person playing it. People expect others to get MGS4 after they didn't get MGS3? lol For ps3 even? lol even further

I wish this was on PC instead of on ps3 with dpad and crossbar menus =/

Oh totally, I can't see typical online gamer and their competitive dick-waggling selves being any fun to play with :P You'll have to probably find other friends to play with, or maybe serious-minded people from here or NeoGAF.
