Just curious to know if there are actually any good ones out there aside from the SNES ones.
I'm not counting KoTOR or any of the stuff that takes place thousands of years in the past. I mean stuff that takes place in recognizable locales and features recognizable characters.
-
the n64 one?
-
Rebel Strike was pretty good but really broken in some places.
Maybe Battlefront?
-
The podracer one for N64.
-
Tie Fighter or KOTOR.
Xwing Alliance sucked, and Xwing wasnt as good as Tie Fighter. Jedi Knight II was really good too tho. Probably the best lightsaber/force power fights in a starwars game ever.
-
jedi knight was pretty cool
-
Jedi Knight II, huh...okay, I think I will check that one out. :D
I've got a hankering for a good Star Wars game, but not an RPG.
-
Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight
Had a lot of fun playing that online back in the day.
-
Rogue Sqadron II for Gamecube is pretty tight
-
RS II for GCN, the KOTOR games, and I liked the SNES side-scrollers quite a bit.

The SNES ones? Come on, I like them too, but they're far from good games.
I think all the best ones have been said already. TIE Fighter, Rogue Leader, KOTOR, and the Jedi Knight games.
-
SNES ones were good! >:(
-
They're on the shittier end of 2D platforming/action games. I do like them, but they're pretty pooptastic. They look nice, though, and they do the nostalgia trigger thing well.
-
Jedi Knight.
-
No way, RoboJ.
Here's the best thing about the SNES sidescrollers, oddly enough, they're as good as the movies. Empire Strikes Back is the best of all three. Star Wars and Return of the Jedi are just okay, but Empire Strikes Back is pretty awesome. I remember it took me forever to beat Darth Vader.
-
The Jedi Knight series, obviously.
-
Kotor.
-
You're not counting Kotor? >:(
I guess I'll have to go with Super Empire Strikes back then.
-
You console jerks and your games lol. PC star wars games rocked all over those 2D things
-
The correct answer is Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.
It still holds up today (played it again last summer), great mechanics and great story. Download it if you have never played it. It should work on everyone's computer.
-
NO CONSOLES R ONLY GOOD GAEMS!
-
Rogue Sqadron II or kotor fallowed by podracer.
-
SEE WHAT I MEAN! argh the people who missed out on the 10 times better star wars games
-
Jedi Knight II was pretty awesome, but I really dug Super Empire Strikes Back.
-
There weren't any other Star Wars PC games besides Jedi Knight, so why is MAF having an aneurysm
Being a mod must be getting to him, time to step down again
-
Uhh TIE FIGHTER! X-WING! Empires at war!
IM AN ICON WOOOAHHHH!
-
The correct answer is Tie Fighter, if you can't use the KotOR games.
It's very arguable that Tie Fighter was the best space sim ever made for literally years, I don't really think it was eclipsed until the first Freespace game came out.
The following are not correct answers:
Lame 2D SNES platformers
Bad on-rail Gamecube shooters
Any sequel to Tie Fighter
Anything on the N64
Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy for the PC were also pretty good.
-
Im glad you post here frag!

The following are not correct answers:
Bad on-rail Gamecube shooters
???
-
They might as well have been on rail. I've always referred to them as such.
-
That doesn't make much sense.
-
A new hope for SNES was horrible because you couldn't save, still got to the end though I think. The other games had really good Mode 7 graphics and you could choose the character in ROTJ, Empire Strikes Back is the best though. I remember always hoping for a sequel to it. About 30% of the levels weren't that good but I had the cheats for the funnest levels in a notebook. I thought it was challenging when I played it recently but when I was young and only played 2D sidescrollers it was really easy. Only a few challenging levels.
The really fucking bad thing about back then was that there was no internet so for cheats and hints you had to use magazines.
Rebel Strike does hold up better to me though and the foot levels are something I ignore. There is no excuse for them and I never play those missions. My brother got gold on every one of them though.
-

Sex me, please. It's still one of my favorite PC games ever.
-
Hmm. KoTOR2 would've been it had they not botched the ending to rush it out for the holiday season on XBox.
So instead I'm going with the undisputed champion Tie Effing Fighter.
I've never enjoyed a game where I'm technically the villain more than Tie Fighter. Plus there's no cliche trench run.
Edit: D'oh Frag beat me to it. Glad to see I'm not the only one with good taste. And he hates those stupid on rails Star Wars games. YESSS! The only people who like those are chumps who don't know the greatness of Tie Fighter. Space sim FTW.
-
The two GC factor 5 games are the best representation of playing the movie(minus the onfoot stuff, but thats no worse than GTA).Jedi Knight 2 was pretty nice. The SNES sidescrollers were fun and the old flight sims were neat, but I couldn't stand to play them at this day and age. Also, Pod Racer was a great game that everyone forgets about.
-
star wars lol
Star Trek: Bridge Commander is pretty good.
Star Trek sucks.
-
Who ACTUALLY wants to play the movie? Give me good gameplay scenarios thanks

I do. I loved the Sega arcade game. The one where you duelled Boba Fett and rode on landspeeders.

That game really aged badly.
-
Yeah once there was this game that I really enjoyed playing but it looks like shit now lol
-
used way too much money too.
-
Yoda stories.
-
Tie Fighter or KOTOR.
MAF knows the score!
I still go back and replay TIE fighter from time to time, and I rarely ever replay games.
