And learn to play Supreme Commander.
I've never been the world's biggest RTS person, but this game is a lot of fun to play. Different than your average SC knockoff. The scale is just beyond impressive, and being able to fight on 3 fronts is great.
So stop being poor and upgrade!

Give me your moneys, rich man!

Is this the game where dual monitors are recommended? :lol

This weekend I'm gonna be visiting my friend who is a really big fan of this game. If I like it I'm gonna buy a copy... I don't normally like RTSes but TA was really fun.

This is probably one of the best mutliplayer RTS games that isn't a gogogogogo korean microfest to come out in years. Hordes of giant robots blowing the living piss out of each other and lots of giant nuclear explosions.
Fantastic game, give the demo a try at the very least if you're computer is up to it.

Will this be enough to run the game? I don't really play non-indie PC games so I haven't been on the ball about upgrading.
-ATI Radeon 9800
-512Mb Ram
-Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz

Not enough RAM. :( The CPU and video card could make it through on low settings, though.

PIMP MY RIG should be a new MTV show featuring Frag.

I love Supcom its a fucking great game. At work i put it on our server computer that has a 7900gtx sli. Along with our three moniters for that computer it fucking rocks.
I'm hoping this is the week i get enough money to buy my own computer. I'm gonna buy a dell or hp. Hp is 1.6ghz C2D with a 256mb 7600 and the dell has 2.0ghz 4mb cache C2D and 256mb Ati 1400. Hp is 1350, the dell is 1100 or so. Both have 100+ gbs of space and 2gb of ram.
Supcom rocks though. I love my ground wars.

I try to avoid calling it a "rig", sometimes it slips out though. I really don't like the hardware PC scene, it's graphics uber allies all the way with them and the lion's share of them wouldn't pay for a game unless they absolutely had to do, despite spending $400+ just on a video card.

Also, one of the really cool things to do is wind down an evening by downloading a good replay and enjoying it over some hot cocoa with Irish Creme while starting to doze off in your chair. I did this a couple of times recently (fiance was catassing her way to 70 in WoW and staying up too late) and it was pretty damn cool.

I have an awesome computer but don't have Windows. :(
You could probably switch it out for a 500MHz Celeron with 256MB of RAM and it would be weeks before I notice. :(

The game rocks online. I played a couple of ranked matches and uploaded one of my replays to GPG.net (search for Fragamemnon). The game was sort of lopsided-I need to start pushing with upgraded SCUs sooner on a map like Fields of Isis where it is easy to turtle.
New feature coming next week is a map to show where people are playing Supreme Commander online in the world. I sort of wish they would release a balance patch instead-there are a few things that are really broke (IMO) in multiplayer and could use some adjustment.

Listen to the man. This game's awesome.
I'm a base builder. I build defense like bacterium multiply... and then build long range weapons to fyuta with.
I think I'm going to play a round.
