I shred all my receipts, but I don't keep them. I'm sure looking at them would depress the hell out of me, knowing how much I blow on this stuff.

Since getting this new job, I have decided to start saving receipts for purchases related to my WORK for WRITEOFFS and just in general so I know if I blow my money like a COKE FIEND.

I keep them because I'm afraid of being fucked over by an insurance company.  That being said I keep them out of the open and near the important shit I've bought so if there were a fire or flood I'd loss the recites too.

I keep them in a shoebox for about a year, and then shred them. Forgot that I do that.

Not really, once any receipt is older than three months it's not of much use to me.

I always put the receipt in the game case with the manual.

Absolutly.

But then again, I do buy a lot of used games, especially older stuff.  Recent buys...
Xevious 3D/G (PS1)
Shooter: Space Shot (PS1)
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GCN)
Disaster Report (PS2)*

*sold as used, even though the game was in pristine condition and the ID sticker on top was unbroken.

Right behind the manual or in the last page. I used to also put the top sticker from the top on the inside plastic.

I do that, too!  I usually throw it away after the return period.
