Title: John Edwards Has Officially Suspended His Presidential Run

MSNBC is reporting the breaking news now.

Edwards is a great guy and a comeback of her cancer has to be pretty damm bad for him to end it, because he didin't stop campagining last time due to this when he found out about this shortly before the 2004 election.  :-\

I HAAAAAAATE to be political about this but Obama is probably going to benefit A LOT from this. Edwards supporters to me don't see the type to go towards Hillary. The 15% or so percent that Edwards had is way more than enough for Obama to scoop up to surge past Hillary. I feel dirty saying this stuff.  :-\

Politico reporting he may jump back in if she is able to pull through but cancer coming back a second time normally isn't that good of a sign and all those months of not campaigining and not raising money when you are already in a distant third makes this seem very unlikely.

Doesn't matter. Edwards was always running for VP. I'm sorry for his family though. His political aspirations have already ruined their lives enough

So cruel.  :lol I am VERY curious to see what a poll shows where that small chunk(but way more than enough to determine a leader) goes. Edwards supporters always seemed to be part of the anyone-but-hillary machine in the party.

Edwards is so weird. They were talking about how they found out about the cancer in that she broke a rib and did an x-ray and noticed it.
