Title: I finally swallowed the dog... (MP3 player related)

...and bought a Creative player...

I only got the 2 GB version because I only had $150 and didn't have enough to buy the 4 GB version because I lacked sales tax. When I get my next paycheck I'm going to return this one if I like it and get the 4 GB version. :D

I haven't wanted to get a Creative player because I've always thought they lacked the features (and battery life) that I desire. I checked this one out and it seems to get a pretty good battery life and doesn't need propriatary software! HUZZAH!

So yeah... I'm charging it right now so I haven't had a chance to use it. I've never had a flash player before so hopefully this one is pretty good. I wish it had a SD card slot though. What can I expect for $100 though. :/ SPEAKING OF WHICH. Fuck, that's cheap for a decent flash player. Fuck you, iPod whores!

When I get the money I'm going to get another iAudio X5L30GB

Good choice its a good little player. You should look into the Sansa Connect thats coming out by Sandisk. But for audio quality creative is great. They should be coming out with a 8gb version player. Did you get a extra battery with your player? Some had extra batteries (early adopter incentive)

Naw, I just got it at Circuit City so I dunno. That was probably Creative store only promotion. I heard they were coming out with a 8GB version. That's on my radar depending on how much it costs but there's also the iRiver CLIX2 coming out soon in an 8gb model... the two players will have to compete for my affection through battery life, features, price, and size. I'm not going to carry around a huge flash player (would be the iRiver since the V will probably be the same size). The CLIX2 will have better features and build quality and battery life... but will also be fuck expensive. The 2GB CLIX1 was $150-170 and the 2GB Creative V was only $100... and the 4GB version was $150.

I go to Settings -> Clock and it doesn't let me change the fucking settings of the clock. I go into Alarm and it has something where I change the time but when I exit out there's nothing changed about the clock. Calander too.

This thing has the shittiest fucking interface.

they got rid of some buttons from their previous os. But there is a menu button that when your over that option you get more option i think and thats where it should allow you to set up the time.
