I've also haven't finished lower than fourth place in like, four years. I won first place honors in one of my leagues last year, finished third and fourth in the others. Second in my money league.

Questionable offense? I don't think so. My offense has speed and power and run support. In addition to Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera, who are Top 15 studs, it's a very well balanced draft. The only questionable players are those with injury history, that being Weeks and Griffey, and I've got serviceable replacements in Emil Brown and Mark DeRosa (DeRosa could be a stud in that Chicago offense). Troy Tulowitzki will likely be the rookie of the year, and if not, Orlando Caberera is a good replacement until I can trade for a new SS. Which will be pretty easy considering my depth at SP and likely third closer.

And how could the pitching be bad? I've got Chris Carpenter, Brandon Webb, Chris Young and Rich Hill in my rotation. There's nobody that has as solid as a rotation. And for kicks, I drafted Homer Bailey, the number one pitching prospect in all of baseball. I've got my saves covered in Cordero and Gagne, whom both have experience and have been lights out this spring. And my holds are covered with Rauch, Wood and Zumuya. The latter will probably be a closer by year's end, serving as possible trade bait.

In a 14-man league, at least one as competitive as mine, you'd be hard pressed to find a team that's noticeably better.

Other guys have had declining production (Victor Martinez). Carpenter is good, Webb is a stud, Hill and Young don't wow me but you could do worse. Homer Bailey is starting the year in AAA.

6th was probably a bit harsh, but I don't think your team is without questions/concerns.

He wasn't in decline - the Indians were in decline. Remember the year he broke out? The team was batting like crazy. They haven't matched it since. That was the same year were Peralta was hailed as a God! How many catchers are going to hit above .300 with 20 HRs and almost 100 RBIs? Like, three and he's one of 'em!

Uh, how could you list Dunn as an injury question? He hasn't missed a start in like four years. The dude routinely hits 40+ HRs. That's just crazy talk.

Griffey Jr. and Ricky Weeks are legitimate injury risks, which is why I took fliers on DeRosa and Emil Brown. They would probably starters for some other teams in our league.

Gagne has been ridiculous in Spring Training. He had some freak injury-itis going, but I think he'll be fine. If he's not, the likelihood that Zumuya will be the closer in Detroit before the end of the year is very high. Also, I took a flier on Jorge Julio, who is also likely to be dealt to a team in need of a closer. I'm comfortable with that situation.

And while Homer Bailey is starting out in AAA, he will likely be in the rotation in a month according to the organization. A month!

I go over to the park across from my house every few days and toss the ball around with some of the kids in the neighborhood. Its a hell of a lot of fun.

I just dont understand the people that only play fantasy and watch the sport on tv. That shit is kind of pathetic. I could understand it for racing and some high risk sports but not fucking baseball, football, basketball etc etc.

Not because I don't want to, but because I am simply unable to withstand the rigors of football due to both a back and leg injury. So, because of this, I should not watch the NFL, something that not only I enjoy, but is as much of a family and American tradition as apple pie and pornography? That seems stupid.

More importantly, the people who say, "LOLZ U SHULD PLAY THE SPORTS NOT WATCH THEM WATCHING PRO LEAGUES ARE FOR LOSERS!" are usually the most socially awkward people around. It usually means that you cannot fit in with the regular male social dynamic of watching competitive sports and choose to mock them instead because you're quite lonely. That's the truth.

The only people who don't watch competitive sports that I don't mind are the Drinky variety, where it pretty much does not tickle their fancy whatsoever.

Victor Martinez's slugging percentage has dropped the last 2 seasons. He still has value though because there are so many shitty catchers in the Majors.

Also I was gonna say something about Gagne being on the DL, but he's not actually hurt.

Also, I should note that I have cut both Emil Brown (who lost his starting job) and Homer Bailey (apparently his control is pretty bad still) and signed Ryan Garko and Dustin Pedroia off of waivers. Garko is not the starter at 1B, but his bat was white hot at the end of last season and word out of Cleveland is that he's making Casey Blake sweat for his gig. Also, at worst, Garko will get lots of DH at-bats. Pedroia is penciled in as the Red Sox starting 2B, and could be a steal. He's also insurance if Rickie Weeks gets injured.

On the pitching side, my first team has Ws, SVs, Ks, HLDs (hence the Zumuya, Wood and Rauch additions), ERA and WHIP stats.

I put Gagne and Wood on the DL, but I can't cut them. Gagne is healthy and the closer, and Wood will be the closer by year end. So I put waivers on Al Reyes (likely the closer for Tampa Bay) and Sammy Sosa, who were both added to Yahoo! leagues yesterday. I was fortunate that Jorge Julio was traded to Florida, so with Gagne out, I still have Cordero and Julio for SVs. Sosa will help give me some OF depth. I'm content to go with a four man rotation initially, and if Pedroia, Weeks, Garko, Sosa and/or Reyes pan out - I will trade two for a SP.

The public league (my new second team) counts Rs, RBIs, HRs, SBs and AVG on offense. On pitching, it counts Ws, SVs, Ks, ERA and WHIP.
