White Man forced me at cockpoint to watch this show and OMG Judd Apatow writes the best fuckin' teenaged comedy/drama out there.

I actually think both shows are just about equal. Undeclared cuts out the melodrama for the sake of pure fun, and I think it works. I go back and forth on which series is my favorite.
On one hand, I think it's a sort of mixed blessing that F&G got cancelled after one season. Two reasons: I doubt they could've kept that quality of writing up for very long. They have 17 or 18 episodes, and they're all AAA quality. Could they have maintained that for more than one season? I'd like to believe so, but I really don't see how it could've gone on a whole lot longer without them having to recycle material. Also, they had forewarning that the show was cancelled, so they were able to give it a nice ending that simultaneously wrapped things up nicely while not setting the future of the characters in stone (just in case it did get picked up, I guess). I'd compare the ending to the series to the ending of Arrested Development -- it definitely ended the story, but it left the door open for a new story to come along, just in case.
Undeclared is 100% pure fun. It doesn't have the great ending that F&G had, and I believe as a concept, it would've had longer legs than F&G. Also, much like F&G is like a love note to the early 80s, Undeclared is one to the late 90s. Thus for nostalgic reasons I love it.
Also, Seth Rogen <3 <3 <3

favorite show ever.
Lady L kicks ass

Yeah I think Undeclared could be a show that went on longer and add new characters or explore the ones there more, but I would have liked to have seen another season or two of F&G and I think they could have kept it going fine for at least that long.

I dunno. . .towards the end of the season, they were hinting at some sort of relationship between Lindsay and Mr. Rosso. I wouldn't have been able to deal with that, even if it was just Mr. Rosso getting all stalkery. Oh, Doug, don't read this post, I guess.
We need spoiler tags.

EW JUST EW
Mister Rosso is utterly cretinous.

There's nothing blatant, just little hints, and I half think it may have been the writers just fucking with the audience since they knew the show was cancelled.
