CHOOSE MY FATE >:(

No offense man, but I watched a godzilla movie because of your posts on GAF. I watched the newest one where there are aliens and super humans. Jesus christ is was so fucking terrible. And it wasn't even bad funny. It was pathetic.

Oh FoC, its pretty clear you lack taste. Something I can't account for in my recommendations to an entire forum.
-
Gojira and Giant Monsters All Out Attack are the two best in the franchise.
-
godzilla movies pwn
-
Giant Monsters All-Out Attack total!
-
Seems like Giant Monsters All Out Attack is a lock. Those voting for Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla DO realize that its the latest Mechgodzilla clash, not the classic, and its directly tied to the sequel Tokyo SOS.
Tho the votes for Godzilla vs Mothra bring a tear to my eye. Bless u all.
-
Is that all the godzilla movies? I thought there were like 50 more.
Mothra vs. Godzilla is :)
2000 not so much, and those are the only ones I've seen totally.
-
Its most of the ones I own. Its impossible to like all of them unless youre some freaky super-fan. I DO have the awesome Rebirth of Mothra movies tho. Hilarious shit.

MOTHRA VS GODZILLA

I am very heartened to see the Godzilla love I do in this thread. :spin Everyone except FOC, give yourselves a pat on the back.
and everyone who's recommened Giant Monsters All Out Attack, buy yourselves something nice, you're good people. :bow
If MAF is watching three movies this weekend, I would recommend he watches the Gamera trilogy from the 90's, White Man said you owned it some time ago, you must have seen it by now? Same goes for the rest of you. Its from the director of the superlative Giant Monsters All Out-etc.

Watch me Bitches!

Wow, this list fucking blows.

Bitches.

Godzilla us remake
Godzilla 2000
Godzilla Final Wars
-
Purist fans will often fall back to the more obvious rubber suit classes but its entirely possible to like the 90s and early 2000 movies instead.
I'd definately consider Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Tokyo SOS some of the best godzilla shit around.
-
The early 90's Godzilla films were also more then respectable. Its a nice mix between the low-tech rubberi-ness of the classic films, and the "Golly Gee, dem sum purty effects dere" flashiness of the newer films. There's a lot of genuinely impressive practical effects and miniature work in the post-85 era.
They've also (usually) have got better music then the newer films. The day Akira Inafube retired was a sad day for any giant monster movie fan. Problem is Sony has yet to release most of them in a non-shitty format. I ain't buying no fullscreen-and-english-dubbed-only shit.
Godzilla us remake
and the next guy who recommends the American (98) souless atrocity that was named Godzilla deserves a punch to the genitals.
Like this poser gets (http://"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K6StwFhOEw")

the 60's-70's are great because of NOSTALGIA, but I love them for that.
Alll Out Attack is a fucking good film on it's own.

I love the artwork on these posters. Someone find me some wallpaper.
-
MAF, we took some pictures of the Gojira statue in Tokyo, I should post them so you can check 'em out.
In a totally non-creepy way, I thought of you when we found it.

I completely agree. That's why you should run, not walk, to go see the Gamera trilogy.
Same director, writer, special effects coordinator. Its easily among the best that giant monster cinema has to offer. Part 3 (Revenge of Iris) would have been R-rated if it were submitted to the MPAA. I can't recommend these films highly enough. All of you, stop your talking and go see these.

All available to own right here (http://www.amazon.com/Gamera-Limited-Box-Set/dp/B0002LE8WS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/104-3651731-7141538?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1175303796&sr=1-2"). Anybody who liked Giant Monsters All Out Attack will go nuts for this.

The Gamera trilogy is indeed good. All Out Attack is the only Godzilla movie outside of Gojira you can say is good without adding "it's good, for a godzilla movie"
-
No way, God against MechaGod and Tokyo SOS rock
-
and Final Wars is good for answering the question, "What if Micheal Bay were Japanese?"
-
No way, God against MechaGod and Tokyo SOS rock
they do! But this one is a plain great film. Best since Gojira.
-
I love to make fun of the 98 movie. Its horrible and the first movie that opened at the theater i now work at. That night all 21 screens had Godzilla on them. Me and that movie have a special relationship. It was horse shit and I love to mock it.
-
Cheebs: I know, All Out Attack > God Against Mech and Tokyo SOS. I just dont like seeing them lumped in with the meh modern godzilla flicks.

They aren't! The 2000 stuff for the most part are better than the 90's stuff imo.
