Words cannot express how angry I will be if she ends up in office. I'd even rather have Giuliani.

GOP numbers are in. Romney did EXTREMELY well. Topping everyone on the GOP and every democrat but hillary.
1. Romney: $23 million
2. Rudy: $15 million
3. McCain: Unknown but we know it is disappointing and worse than people were predicting.

Our governor called Obama a "hottie", and "cute" at a rally he did for her during her re-election :-[
I watched the speech on c-span or something one day bored and it was like "And now the cutest politician to ever take the stage with me, and I mean it! He is quite the hottie."
-
Wow
-
Wow
she does a lot of weird things in speechs.
But it's no surprise that she weird about him :lol, most believe she will endorse Obama for the democratic primaries despite the fact she is a female democrat once the MI primaries get closer.

So far it's pretty much democrats pulling out ahead of the republicans. Anyone think that there's still a chance for the republicans to keep office in 2008? Other than a strong pairing of Rudy and McCain (sorry McCain love ya but you wouldnt win as a president, take second place at least) theres really no chance in hell of Republicans winning this time around just by looks so far.
I met McCain and Rudy so far as well as Edwards (nice guy reminded me of a Kennedy) and I'm hoping to meet Hildawg and Obama whenever they get a chance to come around here. I feel the need to meet them and hear what their politics are all about. A lot a wishy washy (Hildawg, Obama) bullshit.
For once I'd just like to see some of these main candidates look at their weakness' (we all have them) and maybe pair with each other for better or worse. It'd be interested if say Obama and Hildawg teamed up. Hillary has some pull and so do Obama but in two different groups. They'd be a power team i say.
-
McCain is dying in the polls and money wise. He isn't worth mentioning anymore but pundits and people like us tend to, and there isn't a chance he'll take VP at his age.
Rudy could very well win. He is loved by independents for his more liberal streak in social issues that show him to be a "independent free thinker" and republicans love him because he is tough on defense. He will be VERY hard to beat. Hardest candidate to go up against since Bush in '88.
Oh and there is 0% chance of Hillary and Obama teaming up. Hillary will pick a fellow clintonisa. A Bill Richardon or Evan Bayh. Obama will pick someone with foreign policy experience to make up for his youth and lack of experience, Bill Richardson is a name often mentioned as good VP for him.
Richardson is basically the go-to VP for Obama & Hillary.
He is from a swing state, was part of the clinton admin(plus for hillary), LOADS of foreign policy experience (plus for Obama)

The Republicans will win assuming Bush doesn't fuck with Iran or get caught having sex with a 12 year old boy in the Lincold Bedroom.
Hillary is going to win the Democrat nomination. She has no chance of winning, and I'd bet a month long ban on that. As my avatar says:
If you think a woman has a chance of winning this election - especially fucking Hillary Clinton - you're lost. Clinton could be the best thing to happen to the Republican party since 9/11. Her nomination would unify the Republican party in a way it hasn't been in awhile. Do you honestly think conservatives would sit back and let Bill Clinton get back into the White House lol? No, you'd see the religious right show up, you'd see the uber conservatives show up, you'd see everyone. And in the aftermath of the November blowout a new star inthe Republican party would emerge. Not as the new president, but as the next President.
I have forseen this
-
PD you agree Richardson has a pretty damn good chance at getting the VP nod? Former Clinton guy, and meets the VP check list through and through.

I know some people from his state who are not nearly as high on the guy as you lol.
Yeah he'd be the defacto choice, although I'm still a Clark guy through and through
-
Yeah Richardson is good choice for VP I like the guy and he has the experience. Your right about Rudy, I forget about those damn independents. They do make for a large body of voting individuals. It'll be interesting to see what happens. If the Republicans win I'll be a little shocked. But your right pd, if anything this will unify the party in some shape or form. For better or worse I'm just glad to be getting rid of Bush, hopefully for good.

I know that, but the vast majority of his state, both dems and independents LOVE the man and he fits that LBJ/Dick Cheney ideal VP choice. Experienced policy wonk that will be great advisors.
Yes I said Dick Cheney. If Cheney has done one good thing it is to set the precedent to pick a VP that is better at advising you rather than making your campaign photoshoots prettier.

A Rudy presidency would be fucking interesting from a political junkie viewpoint. Mainly because he isn't a Reagan republican. He is a NIXON republican(not in that lol crook way)he is from the pre-Reagan style of republican politics.
Run a very powerful executive branch with conservative business/economic views being the major policy viewpoint and being pretty secular of religious/moral issues.
-
I wouldn't mind that at all. I'm pro-business, as we should all be. In terms of conservative economics I'd rather have Guliani's ilk running the show than Bush's economics of spend spend spend, damn the next generation.
-
What irks me is he promises to nominate social conservatives to the Supreme Court like Scalia and Thomas, come on man, if you are pro-choice/pro-gay rights don't buckle.
But it isn't that surprising. Rudy, despite his social views is a loyal party man.
-
Check yer damn PM's himu.
-
I hate Bill Richardson soooo much
-
I just wanna know one thing.
If Hillary becomes president, what would we call Bill? He's certainly not the First Lady!
-
The first gentleman doesn't sound right either.
-
Head nicca In Charge sounds much better
-
It's Negro in charge.
Which isn't used for politics.
you dick.
