Eh, my plan is to not let it get out of warranty.  when it's about to, trade that bitch in.

100k miles, not 100k car repair. This weeks round of repairs is 600 or so, maybe another 600 next week, then the windshield replacement is maybe 200 then I should be good.

The focus gets plenty of oil changes. Its just been ridden hard. I bought it with 60k in 2002, then put 45k on it myself over the past 5 years. Also the apartment complex wont let me change oil in the parking lot. I just take it somewhere because its convenient.

Do you live near a college or highschool? I don't have a garage, and my drivethru is like a semi rock garden lol, so I just head to the local highschool on the weekend and change the oil in the empty parking lot. In front of the cops too

NO EXCUSES >:(

Regardless, PD, your misguided rant has very little to do with 100,000 mile car upkeep. I doubt you've even driven 40k in a car in your life.

His car only has 150 miles on it; he uses to drive it to Costco every first of the month and to church on Sundays :lol

Is it even possible to change the oil on a FWD without a lift?

Yes.
I was explained that you had to go through a lot of trouble to get the parts out of the way to do it properly (i.e. transmission has to be moved).

Hell dude you got out for cheap. Last week i payed out 1580 to get my car serviced 135K servicing and to get new speedometer and engine heat gauge. I'm so damn pissed that was more than a month of work. They didnt even do anything for my stereo like they said they would. At least i got a car to drive around in. Now if only premium gas would go down. Cause at this rate my 200 buck gift card is gonna be gone like snap.

You don't have a damn jack?

For awhile I was having the oil changed once a month, if that's any indication as to how much I was driving the damn thing.  If you look around, you can probably find a garage in your area that will be willing to do it for ~$15 included supplies, which is practically for free.  Smaller garages do this to entice customers into returning, so it's best to take advantage.

Well adding these repairs to the shocks, struts, new windshield, probably around 1300 total.

look at what I said later about the transmission getting in the way.
