So fucking awesome, that channel was! The balance between old and new was omg.

1997 was when CN was getting awesome. It wasn't until they went overboard with the WHAT A CARTOON SHOW or whatever in 2000 with a bunch of bullshit shows like Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Adult Swim, for years was the best thing about CN, and they've even made that total shit aside from a few shows.

Holy shit nearly everything you listed is awesome. Back then we didn't have cable, so whenver we went to our grandparents house (like every Sunday) we'd get to watch all the cartoons. Those were awesome times.

JOHNNY QUEST. I forgot about that! That was a pretty damn serious show; my uncle showed me the older episodes from when he was little, and even those were awesome

You have no idea how many times I raced home to watch that show at 3 in the afternoon after school. One of my favorite childhood cartoons. So underrated. :(

I loved CN Merry Melody compilations. Toon Heads, for example, was a staple of mine.

They used to have the best balance. They'd balance old and new, and you could literally watch CN all day sho'nuff. Nowadays they play the same things over and over and over. =/
