Some of you HAVE to notice this. There are months of 'Spineless Phoenix Dark' that avoids confrontation or just flat out loses all arguments. Then there's months of 'Cocky Phoenix Dark' where we have to suffer his endless stupid opinions, racist slants, and comments about porn.
Two different people? Or college loser?
PD you have to admit you have multiple forum personalities. There's...
-The intellectual, debating Phoenix.
-The weird antisocial who is unbelievably awkward with girls.
-The "tough" compensating look-at-me-I'm-black YO nicca guy.
Am I missing any?
I can honestly say I like everyone here except one person (and no, it's not Willco who I feel is pretty funny).
He's mostly too boring to sound smart, or even normal. That's the word I'm looking for. There's no personality behind that.
i have a feeling am nintenho hates me :(you're too mexican for a californian to hate you you damn beaner.
I think many people dislike me so much that I'm not given nearly the same free space as a MAF or Drinky, who are able to say as much outlandish stuff as they want without people taking them too seriously. Yet when I say anything slightly on the edge there's someone who takes it seriously. By no means am I saying I'm on the level of a Drinky (I'm not that fuckin cocky) but come on: it should be pretty damn obvious when I'm bullshitting. Perhaps people feel threatened by my more serious debate side and therefore take cheap shots when they see an opening (IE the bullshitting)shut up nigrah.
Nigguh, shit. You best shut the fuck up with that bs. SMH hoe. SMH. No homo.fo sho' brother malcom.

What does SMH stand for?

I think it's just more difficult to separate your messing around from the rest.
Personally I don't think it's that hard. For instance just a few seconds ago I posted in that Japan thread, saying something stupid about MLK. A few minutes ago also I posted in the science/religion thread on GAF in a serious fashion (which of course many still would consider stupid due to my position).I'm talking more about your social identity. The weird kid persona. Some people actually believe that stuff, which is probably why a lot of posters don't take you serious to begin with. Or at least over there.
What am I supposed to say to this thread? Except that most people agree with me except the person that's bi-polar.
cocky? i'm largely the same irl as i am here, except irl i'm laughing at my crap -- i'd post more :lol emoticons, but that's just creepy. i haven't said anything to anyone here i wouldn't say to their face. pd, people are detecting your dual nature -- we know you're a shy and somewhat cerebral duder, and it's almost inappropriate to see the cocky/funny schtick at random intervals. we know folks like demi and tbs are fakes -- but they're completely consistent in their contrived internet personalities. you're all over the map. pick a horse!
Hah. You and I are a lot alike. Except for the whole black thing.cocky? i'm largely the same irl as i am here, except irl i'm laughing at my crap -- i'd post more :lol emoticons, but that's just creepy. i haven't said anything to anyone here i wouldn't say to their face. pd, people are detecting your dual nature -- we know you're a shy and somewhat cerebral duder, and it's almost inappropriate to see the cocky/funny schtick at random intervals. we know folks like demi and tbs are fakes -- but they're completely consistent in their contrived internet personalities. you're all over the map. pick a horse!
I am very shy and quiet in real life. I don't like confrontation, and I try to avoid it when possible. There's nothing cooler (as in cool headed, not omg I'm so cool) than ignoring confrontation in KKK kuntry (AKA Howell, Michigan) right in your damn face, or staying cool with NBPP members brandishing guns in your direction :-\
I like to have fun on the internet, and I kinda envy people who act badass online and irl. Oh well :-\
that's pretty obvious, but it makes it really hard to take you seriously when you want us to -- like in a politics thread. you get a reputation for trolling, and everyone will take the safest policy when dealing with you: they assume you're a troll. i don't expect to get it both ways, and neither should you. if you aren't consistent, people will assume consistency for you.
Hah. You and I are a lot alike. Except for the whole black thing.
Has someone ever pointed a gun at you?
And that.Quote from: MuteHah. You and I are a lot alike. Except for the whole black thing.Has someone ever pointed a gun at you?

I've had a shotgun pointed at me when the DEA raided my house. Pretty sweet.
To be fair you've done more trolling than I, yet there is a level of respect. I only ask for that in more serious discussions. Call me a god damn fanatic creationalist peanut butter fucker if you please, but I want some mutual respect :-\

A. I use a different posting style when I have an argument I'm committing to and I'm not testing the waters. It's pretty evident to anyone who's posted with me for some time. I give the cue for when I'm stating something I hold as an honest personal argument or expression. I also tend to be serious in political and technical discussion except when it's clear the other party is fishing. Again, consistency.
B. Respect is a function of consistency over time. The rare few folks on teh interwebs who do respect me have been with the same ol' Drinky Crow since at LEAST the late 90's and can bear witness that I haven't changed much -- for good or aught, probably aught -- and they always know what to expect from me. I'm a little less confrontational, a little more secure, a little more experienced, but they know when I'm trollin' and when I'm committing to an argument because I don't deviate from who I am just to score points.
You got me. PhoenixDark is my joke character.
You are predictable, boring, and unfunny except to loser internet nerds, like yourself, who aren't worth a damn outside of the forums they post on. You'll never get my respect.
