Haha. Yeah, hyperzone made an awesome post highlighting this shit.

-
yeah, but he liked hyperzone which was a mode 7 space harrier for the short bus set.
-
ahaha
Have you heard of these shmups he talked about in that thread?
Raiden III is a must and is coming out here. The fuck is The Red Star? And Radio Allergy? The fuck is that?
-
i've known about raiden 3 and the red star for quite awhile. raiden iv is out soon for ps3 in japan and is a must import given that lack of region lock.
-
I didn't know Raiden IV was coming out on ps3.
I haven't heard of The Red Star. What type of shmup is it? Horizontal or vertical?
-
it's like ikari warriors or mercs with some beat 'em up elements, and is based on a moderately famous graphic novel of the same name. supposedly it's very "treasure-esque" (in the good way).
-
How is anything Treasure esque bad?
-
a lot of their shit is half-baked, broken, or a 2d tech demo.
-
and what's wrong with a mode 7 Space Harrier, heck, that just sounds cool in of itself. Treasure has their B-list efforts (Wario World, Stretch Panic) and their A-List (Bangai-O, Astro Boy). Nobody is infallable, but everybody loves at least one of their games enough to keep having optimistic feelings for their future games.
and yeah, Tatio Legends 2 has an amazing, amazing lineup. I want Empire to get off their tea-sipping arse and get it out here already. Its got Growl on it for Eff's sake.
and Radio Allergy looks kinda neat. Its got a unique (especially low-tech) visual sense and is the first cute shooter to get published in America in many years.

Since I was one of the very few people who liked Chaos Field, I'll gladly give this one a go. For only $20, I feel pretty good about taking a chance on it.
-
Holy shit, I completely ignored this release, but after looking through that list I think I'm going to go and pick this up tomorrow, for Elevator Action Returns alone if nothing else.
-
That's a fucking awesome lineup, much better than Taito Legends 1. Must buy when it comes to the states. I hear lots of good things about Cameltry and the Ray games, although the Darius games I've played were a bit mediocre.

WHEN DOES THIS COME OUT

WHEN DOES THIS COME OUT
Apparently it comes out 'Q2', with a different (sorta) PSP release. Shweet!
