NBC is giving up on "Andy Barker, P.I."
After a lightly promoted four-seg run, the Peacock has pulled Conan O'Brien's critically adored midseason laffer from its Thursday perch effective immediately. It will be replaced by "Scrubs," which had been set to inherit the 9:30 p.m. timeslot April 19.
NBC has been streaming and selling all six produced episodes of "Andy" for several weeks now. This week it will also air the skein's final two segs in network TV's death slot, Saturday from 8 to 9.
O'Brien, Jonathan Groff, Jeff Ross and David Kissinger exec produced "Andy," which starred Andy Richter as a CPA-turned-private eye.

It was obvious since before it aired. My Name Is Earl, The Office, & 30 Rock is the new permanent "Must See TV" lineup.
-
Corny, I'd feel like a doof making a new topic, but can you recommend some more drill n bass outside of Aphex Twin and Squarepusher?
-
TVC: Let's see... Venetian Snares? Enduser? DJ Scud? I like Luke Vibert's "Plug" nom de plume but he's not really drill n bass.
-
Thanks. I'll check them out later today.
-
Ooh, Venetian Snares is good. Guy has a lot of output, too.
-
Strike two for Andy.
-
Strike three! Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Quintuplets, and now PI.
-
I didnt know about Quintuplets. He just needs to go back to ol Conan.
-
The less said about Quintuplets the better. I feel sorry for Andy, I think he's got great comedic talent.
-
I saw like 15 minutes of Quintuplets, and it was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Not mediocre bad, but bad bad. Shameful.
-
I love Richter, but he's not leading man material and we'd all be better off if he realized this.

Lie down on your back and open your mouth, cause I'm gonna poop in it.

:'(

All I'm suggesting is that if he were to find a good cast to support instead of trying to lead one, it would be a much better career move, but you can still defecate in my mouth if it's your fancy.

No, Andy! :'(
Maybe when the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien starts up he'll co-host a few nights here and there, that'd be awesome.
