Because I loved the Rogue Squadron games for more than just the Star Wars license?
At least we'll get a demo to try out before making a decision on buying the game or not.

The stupid shit with the dragon running around basically knocking over guys actually looks appealing to you? That looks absolutely yawn inducing.

No, Gundam Musou is fucking awesome. I honest to God bought my PS3 back in February because of Gundam Musou.

This looks kinda dull. They need to dress it up or something. Looks like a really lousy dynasty warriors with dragons.

PS3 fans are adopting the mentality of gamecube fans.
"I only need one game anyway"
lol. Least I have my 360. 15 games n counting.

The "wait untill _____ comes out" meme from PS3 fans is gamecubeishly eerie as well.

like their star wars games, they bhave gorgeous environments and detailed models, and some of the shittiest and cheapest looking special effects EVER. those fire and spell effects are embarassingly bad, and the explosions suck.

I want to play Rogue Squadron II again

I want to play Rogue Squadron II again
fuck ya. I wish I knew some one in real life that liked the rs games because I always wanted to do co-op of 2 in 3.
Man me and Mupepe have totally different tastes in games.

did Factor 5 do the horrible Rogue Squadron III?

yes, and besides on foot missions it wasn't bad at all.
Not close to the second one though.

They did that shit with the PSP too. :lol

Difference being the PSP has plenty of games to buy, I own quite a few myself.
PS3 is in a bad way right now.

But they expected these games to "save" the PSP or sell really well.
-
Wow, it does look boring. Then again, I didn't like the Rogue Squadron games either and the gameplay in this seems similar them.

psp doesn't have to worry about inferior multiplatform games.
RS3 was fun because you could play all the RS2 missions co-op with superior lighting. All the levels were basically shoot-a-bunch-of-crap and I never worried about the foot parts because my brother was OBSESSED with getting all the medals in the game so I just skipped them. I also liked how they had A LOT of extras like documentary, commentary, arcades etc.
Lair has potential if they do something fun while on the ground and maybe ape God of War a little and make the dragon fight in a more fun way and if they can get the air combat improved but we haven't seen it with a stable framerate so it may get funner.

Yeah. PSP has a good deal of good games. But they are mostly cult or "hardcore" games yet they expected it to save the system. GAF PSP fans expected Ghost 'N Goblins type of stuff to save the PSP.

Yeah, and you don't need to worry about PSP games getting ported to its competitor, the DS, due to the technical differences (but PSP -> PS2 conversions, on the other hand...). I was at Gamestop the other day and some father was looking for PSP games for his daughter (10 year old and kind of a tomboy he said, a fan of sports games)... the GS employee was like your typical NeoGAF DS fan, 'no good games no good games!'... telling the father, 'oh you should've bought her a DS, blah blah blah'... I was thinking about the games I really like for the PSP and a lot of the stuff I like is pretty niche (I couldn't recommend Every Extend Extra or UGnG, you know?), I recommended the father pick up Virtua Tennis though since the DC versions were so good. Fuck, doing the job better than the employee :P

Fuck mainstream! I want muh Gunpey and EEE!

Yeah, I definitely need to pick up Gunpey (PSP ver) one of these days... I've been kinda slacking on my PSP purchases lately.
-
PSP Gunpey gets so hard my hands cramp up, but god damn I love it.

They are great stuff, PSP reminds me of the DC in a lot of ways. Lot's of niche good titles but nothing the mainstream would ever want.

I sold my ds. For all the hype almost all the ds games I have had, mostly none of them delivered at all. New Super Mario Bros. was average fluff. Hotel Dusk is a highly average adventure game. Castlevania: DoS sucks. Contact is meh. Mega Man ZX is pretty suck.
Almost all of these games are 'OMG OMG OMG REAL GAMERS MUST GET DIS" games at gaf, and I don't see what the big deal is at all.
The only ds games I've moderately enjoyed were PW series, Kirby Canvas Curse, Elite Beat Agents, and Castlevania: PoR. And even then, PW is a highly average game when it comes to adventure games, but I still enjoy it because it has charm.

I played FF III and The Urbz: Sims In The City the most on my DS
