I saw Blades of Glory last weekend.
And I liked it. Solid, B-movie. Laughed. Would watch on cable.
-
Blades of Glory didn't look that bad other than Heder. I'm a sucker for dumb comedies.

I saw it last night with two friends. Funny movie. Ran to the bathroom once the credits started rolling because I had to pee.

It's overrated, but I like it.

Blades of Glory had "Flash Gordon" by Queen, a decapitation via ice skates and incestuous undertones. I think it's probably one of Will Ferrell's better comedies as a result.

So ridiculous. :lol

The Iron Lotus video footage from North Korea was pretty great.
I think this works, moreso than other Ferrell offerings, because he's allowed to be a goofball jerk and work off a straight man (Heder). In Anchorman, he's oddly the most normal of his troupe and John C. Reilly is definitely not a straight man in Talladega Nights. A lot of the humor in Blades of Glory is predictable, but it's also the first time that Ferrell is allowed to pretty much run away unchecked since the humor comes with him bouncing off the super-girly, straight man Heder and psycopathic Will Arnett.

Will Arnett? Who was that, the magician guy from Arrested Development?
-
Yeah. That chase scene on their ice skates was LOL.

Lol indeed. The phone conversation was one of the funniest parts though. The whole theater was cracking up.
