Title: Are NASCAR games actually taking a step BACK?

Im not a NASCAR fan but goddamn if NASCAR games didnt look better two years ago:

I don't know if I'd say that.  My best buddy is a NASCAR enthusiast and when I play his games, I pretty much drive backwards and see how hard I can crash into oncoming drivers.  That out of the way, these games seem to be adding more and more realistic features and such into the game, like pit crew and stuff.

Im mostly talking about visuals. The textures and car models are fugly.

It seems like EA doesn't want to put the effort forth to actually make visually appealing games. One of the reasons owning so many Sports IPs (or being the prominent developer for most of them) is bad in general (for the Sports gamer).

That Nascar 360 shot seriously looks like a fucken PS2 game. Theres absolutely no reason for those muddy textures in a game thats just contained to a stadium. If PGR3 is indicative what the 360 can actually do when it comes to a racer visually, then EA truly sucks balls (shock)
