G: where is that pic from?

Edited to let the person who made it post it first.

lol

MAF, did you save your avatar as a jpg intentionally on mspaint?
-
No, I didnt pay much attention to it. The one I am using now is hosted on www.gaming-age.com, I had stashed it there after creating it back when I did stuff for the site. It took me maybe a minute in ms paint. Hitokage had recreated it in a high-res version, but I actually created the avatar. There's been rumors going around that someone else made it for me, but that is not the case.
They never got rid of the www.gaming-age.com/misc/ section which is where I stored all of my bad and good photoshops or screenshots from kohan.

So this is the infamous Coot Gambit I've heard of.
-
The best one. I think it turned away 2 large armies before being breeched beyond repair. The secret was not only having forts in formation to support each other, but entrenching the engineering companies I used to build them in the space between the forts.
I once rolled an entire game using nothing but Engineers and a Stone economy lol.

What game is this?
-
Yes I know it was your avatar on GAF. Im sure you know this by now, but save images as a PNG instead of JPG on Paint. Smaller size and perfect quality.
-
i thought maf was japanese
-
power: this was a LONG time ago, im not even sure paint supported png back then.
himuro: a quarter
t234: No One Lives Forever 2 Deathmatch

Ah I've never played Kohan but a couple weeks ago in a SupCom match EviLore was turtling and called it "The Coot Gambit". Everyone else knew what he was talking about but me. That's actually EviLore's strategy for almost every SupCom match.

Blue: In Kohan The Coot Gambit was only really pulled off well once (the one in the picture), because I had the time to set it up and it hadn't been done to that scale before in GAF matches. SupCom AFAIK gives you the time to do something similar almost every match.
T234: Tre got that because of a Conquest: The Frontier Wars match where Drinky and myself were getting slaughtered and we kept waiting on Tre and he kept saying JUST A FEW MORE MINUTES cause he was making these top level fleet ships instead of helping us out.
He was a good sport about it tho, but I always bring it up anyway ;)
Cheebs: That was during the 'Dark Times' of Arizona.

Depends upon if you're playing a team match or not and where you are on the map but yeah it can be done. You should play SupCom with us we need fresh blood. Whiteman played like twice and gave up.

G: where is that pic from?
nasa from like a year or two ago. It was in the gallery.

It's like I'm lookin into somebody's past or something.

So true.
-
Bluemax: To be honest, SupCom didnt click with me in the same way TA didnt click with me. I realize its a great game but I just don't 'get it'. Im more of a Company of Heroes/Rise of Legends kinda guy.
Cheebs: I made those to mock IGN of course.
T234: It essentially is a portion of my past internet life.

maf tell us more of your amazing past
-
Did you come from the moon Maf? Seriously that picture freaks me out.
-
I dont remember a lot of it, I kinda wish I stored all of the images from age 14 onward. Its all a blur.
as for the moon picture, thats fuckin weird.
-
well i can help explain the moon picture a little. All it is, is the light from the cusps of large craters and mountains on the moon. Its still a crazy formation. But you can see the crater's around the eyes but not so well with the brow and mouth cause of the spherical nature of the moon and the distortion caused by that.
-
This gonna sound kinda weird, but I kinda like looking back more than forward.
For example, I haven't photoshopped anything in my life, but I have posts on old forums that I, on occasion, track down and read.
If ever I work at the NSA, I'll use their data bases to reconstruct the entire history of the Gaming-Age forums.
-
I just have trouble remembering things, its not a condition tho. I kinda live in the moment with a cautious eye towards the future.
-
One last thing, what game is this?
-
Enclave
-
A very decent third person action game. Thats the PC version but I heard the Xbox version wasnt bad.
-
Played the Xbox version loved it. Was an awesome game. Even if the AI sucked balls.
-
Yeah the escort mission was lame.
-
Still was fun though and had its laugh out loud moments. Hell even the level development was great. That mansion tree thing level rocked.
-
MAF that is too bad. I admit the game has a bit of a learning curve, but its so epic when you get the big matches going.
