Title: Hot Fuzz rocked
Post by: Himu on April 22, 2007, 12:35:01 AM
Saw it with Mupepe tonight. At first I didn't think it was better than Shaun, and then last 30 or so minutes kicked in and it never went back after that. Awesome film. I'm going to download it so I can watch it until the dvd comes out. Hollah.

I think Shaun of the Dead was like, 10/10 and Hot Fuzz is like a strong 8/10 or 9/10.

Hot Fuzz for me. Maybe I just prefer the action instead of the slow zombies. Plus they're running around blasting motherfuckers with shotguns and kicking old bitches. It's a drastic change of character having watched them in shows like Spaced and more comedy-centric things. Really opened my eyes, mate.

What's their next project?

Yeah but the blasting motherfuckers with shotguns and kicking old bitches took a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time to get there.

And it's phenomenally done.

What's their next project?

No concrete info. Sources say it's going to be in America. Midwest area. Might have to try and get on set, myself.

What's their next project?
Edgar Wright(Writer/Director) in a video interview on IGN said it will likely be Ant Man. His comedy spoof on the super hero genre(shaun was for horror, hot fuzz was for action) using a real marvel super hero.

Frost and Pegg WILL be in it he said but not the leads.

The next trio pic of the 3 is unknown however as demi said.

I felt that the first 75% of the film, Shaun trumped Hot Fuzz in 1000 ways, but then the movie just completely comes together in the last 25% of the movie, making it a much rewarding experience. They're just so different that it's kinda hard to compare them, but the last 30 minutes of Hot Fuzz completely made it for me.

Hot Fuzz: 9(.5)/10

I have to watch it again.

I loved Shaun of the Dead, but Hot Fuzz was just too hilarious. It seemed like the last part of Hot Fuzz was a completely different movie compared to the first. I haven't laughed so hard in my life when

everyone pulled out a gun when they went back to the town together.

I had a huge goofy grin on my face the whole time. Comedy gold, it was.

Demi posted the dvd release to be in June.

Why post about the numbers without posting the numbers, G? Just..why?

Come on, Nick is much funnier. Simon has to act in order to portray his funny-ness, wheras Frost has that natrual comedic edge. Don't get me wrong, the other dude is still awesome, and you could say he's naturally funny, but Nick is on a different plane.

Nick is the funnier of the two but Nick's career is not taking off like Pegg's is so I say Pegg has a bright future, Nick's is sadly more stuck in british cult stuff.

Pegg is about to film a comedy with KRISTEN DUNST in which they play the romantic leads called "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People".

Sadly Nick has absolutely 0 films in the works, Pegg has multiple.

Pegg is taking off far more than most british comedians with cultish roots have since python. Moreso than Ricky Gervais even. It is rather surprising. Every month it seems a new staring role is annouced for Pegg.
