Not really. OUATITW is amazing, and IMHO it's score(s) is better than TGTBTU. The problem with OUATITW is the pacing; it drags more than once.
That was never in question. Dollars trilogy > any western. Forget John Ford, forget Eastwood, forget Peckinpah, forget the other Sergios. Leone rules all.

wtf...
YouTube links don't work for me in Firefox, but from the still I can tell that's the opening to Django. I love that song, I have it on CD, even (in both Italian and English versions).
edit: the Miike Django remake is going to be soooo nuts. I can't wait.hey, I found the trailer. Looks swell.

Django is ridiculously over the top. That's what makes it so awesome. If you watch it on DVD, try to watch it in Italian with English subtitles...Franco Nero doesn't dub over his own voice in the English version so it really feels jarring.
Solo, have you seen many non-Leone spaghettis? I'm surprised at how truly great some of them are, especially the "political" ones like Companeros and A Bullet for the General.
Italian cinema is the very best cinema in Europe - it has the best directors (De Sica, Visconti, Rossi, Rossellini, Leone, Fellini, Wertmuller, Argento), the most creativity in terms of genre (neorealism, peplum, spaghettis, giallos, horror), and the greatest number of purely entertaining films.
I <3 Italian cinema.

I WANT THIS REALLY FUCKING BAD
Please tell me I can buy these seperately and don't have to buy them in the boxset. I don't want the other two moviesall are being sold on their own and in a boxset. You are fine. It's out June 5th.

Is the remastering supposed to be good? I mean...I want to get my mother the 3 pack for $30 for Mothers Day (she loves Clint Eastwood and Westerns) but I'll feel bad if the IQ of these DVDs blow away the former releases...

Is it the theatrical cut of TGTBATUGHABAWNEIOP?
Balls to that if it isn't.
The one in the upcoming box set is the director's cut, which is actually the European theatrical cut. The US got an edited version originally. The one in the Man with No Name Trilogy box set that's out now is the US theatrical cut.
The war film was about the 900 day siege in Leningrad, and was just going to be titled "Leningrad." The Soviet government was helping with the financing, and the protagonist was going to be a photographer/reporter apparently going to be played by Robert DeNiro.
Leone was also planning another Western called A Place Only Mary Knows, with Mickey Rourke in the lead.
