Title: It's April - what are you listening to?

The Roots - Things Fall Apart

Lots of great stuff on this album, although there's also some meh filler stuff. It also features some of the band's absolute songs (The Next Movement, You Got Me).

Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle Earth

OMG POWER METAL+FOLK+TOLKIEN+CLASSICAL=ORGASM IN MY EARS AND NOSE

Fiona Apple - When the Pawn

I loooove Fiona. Lots of great stuff on this album.

Jurassic 5 - Power in Numbers

CLASSIC album, plain and simple. These guys are like the rap version of the Temptations. Every member brings the heat, and each one has a different vocal tone. Together it's just omg amazing

Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare

A quantum leap past their debut album - which I thought was a decent, fun record, but nothing special. The second the first track kicked in, I thought, "Holy shit, this the same fucking band?" The rest of the first half of the album goes back to their slower stuff, but it's still great. The second half of the album is what absolutely rocks my face off. Just a really fun album to listen to.

Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero

I'm not a massive NIN fan, so I can't say where I rank it among their albums, but I think the album is decent enough. The unfortunate part is that the short opening track, "Hyperpower" gets you ridiculously pumped and ready to rock, yet the album never quite makes it back to that level of awesomeness.

Death From Above 1979 - You're a Woman, I'm a Machine

I come back to this album a lot. It's just awesome from start to finish. Listened to it at work today randomly.

CajoleJuice, when I bought a CD for James recently I got a promo sticker for that NIN album. I kept it in case I ran into someone who wanted it, as I don't know any fans of theirs. If you're not creeped out by giving some random chick your address I could send it to you if you'd like.

I'm not really a big enough fan to make you go through the trouble to send that. I don't even know what I would do with it anyway - I wouldn't put it on my car. Thanks anyway, though.  :P

No problem. Let me know if you think of someone who is a fan though. I know it's something I'd like to have if it were a band I liked, you know? So I didn't want to just throw it out. :)
