I was buying (Marginal, cult game) at (Game store) today when the (geeky/nerdy) employee made my life hell! Now, (Insert personal caveat about how you ARE a geek!) but that doesn't make me a (nerd/geek) like the guys at (Game store).
RULES FOR SECOND PARAGRAPH: Write a deliberate, false story about how you stood up for consumer rights and put those (nerds/geeks) in their place.
Now we never need to ever have another one of these threads again. Yo.

HE PITCHED A PREORDER FOR MASS EFFECT BUT I SAID IT'S TOO FAR AWAY FOR ME TO CARE TO PREORDER IT. WHEN HE SAID YOU ONLY NEED TO PUT $5 DOWN I SAID FUCK YOUR SKINNY ASS YO. THEN HE GOT THE ASSISTANT MANAGER OUT, HE WAS GOING TO GET HIS COMMISION OUT OF MY $5 ASS. I KICKED HIM IN THE BALLS AND RAN OUT. I PINNED THE DOOR SHUT WITH THE USED GAMES BIN.

I dunno, a legitimate story is fine. I dont get why G/BzChan gets to make crap up in EVERY thread and no one makes this crap but a few people tell stories about ACTUAL THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED and OMG drama.

Good use of bold and capital letters. Strong positioning of the self as hero, excellent use of wild, aimless rage and general sensation of "Dude, it's just a game". However, we fail to see how this makes you a better person. A-.

My gamestop tried to rape me when i wanted to get a decent deal on trade in games. I went and sold two of the 5 games on ebay and made triple the money gamestop offered for more games.

Uh, GilloD, their stories aren't fake. Thanks to Digipen being in the immediate area, there are a lot of distinguished mentally-challenged young adult males here, and they are PROUD TO NERDILY DISPLAY their nerdiness.

I don't doubt that Gamestops are stocked with goofy younglings. What I doubt are the AND THEN I STOOD UP TO HIM AND I WAS A HERO part of the story, when what really happened was I MUMBLED NO THANKS AND WALKED OUT

I see no such posturing in Drinky's recent story. There was certainly nothing of the sort in the Wii Midnight Launch story, in which we retreated to the truck after being shocked into shame by Nintendo fans.

I WORKED in a couple gamestores and Drinkys story is EASILY believable.

i can be pretty quick on the retorts when dealing with intelligent folks, but the infatuated stare of the hardcore fanboy mixed with the aura of pure earnest NEED makes me oddly sympathetic, and i really have no idea how to respond to them. they like what they like, albeit far too much, but who am i to make a scene over that? i'm rarely tongue-tied, but something about folks who are REALLY into their hobbies/lifestyles leaves me without any real conversational options that aren't cruel (or make me sound just as crazy), and i just choose to, well, MUMBLE AND RUN.

This wasn't in refrence to any particular story, just this genre of story. A glut of which made GAF unreadable and is equally unappealing in this little slice of HEAV UN.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree. The gaming side of GAF is unreadable for all of the sales-age bullshit and batshit insane console fanthings.
