Slayer - Raining Blood
QuoteSlayer - Raining Blood
that's REIGN IN BLOOD you fucking poser
TVC, punish himumu with another comic for this transgression
And PD, everything you posted except Maiden and Sabbath sucks. Pantera sucks. You suck.
Himu :lol
Sorry, the first 3 metallica albums are some of the most overrated in history. They never did anything that Slayer didn't do about a zillion times better.

...What?

Anthrax >>>>>>> Metallica
The song is titled Raining Blood. It's called a homophone. YOU KNOW SHIT ABOUT MUSIC.
Anthrax had a fairly steep falling off in the early 90s, too, and I haven't heard them in years, but yeah, I liked them more than Metallica.Sorry, the first 3 metallica albums are some of the most overrated in history. They never did anything that Slayer didn't do about a zillion times better.

The only noteworthy thing about Metallica was some good vocals.

fuck no. early hetfield can't keep a tune to save his life, and his hollow snarl was the weakest part of their music. it's about the raw, dense guitar sound and the raging five minute solos. and creeping death. fuck i love creeping death.

And look at PD respond to my last post with a laughing face because he can't say with a straight face that I'm not right. The only noteworthy thing about Metallica was some good vocals.

You're trying to change my mind by showing an anime music video?
Listen, I won't deny that Metallica's first 3 albums are very proficient, approachable thrash. What I am denying is that they are in any way special. The only reason they're popular is because of the approachable bit, and because they sold out huge with the black album. If Slayer had pussed out like Metallica, they would get the same sort of praise, but no, they kept it real.
Meh, arguing with you is useless because 80% you aren't being serious. This is almost as bad as Drinky badmouthing Sgt. Pepper. I mean, come on :lol
i ain't gonna back you on this one, PD, despite my undying love of early metallica. they aren't a truly technically proficient act -- they've always ridden the line between pop thrash and harder metal. they're fun as fuck, though.
Once again, you can't disarm anything I say.
I would like to add that comparing new wave of brit heavy metal bands, like Iron Maiden, to the Metallica discussion is completely useless. They are totally different genres. I'm still puzzled at why you mentioned them.
And Justice For All is beyond "pop thrash".
:lolQuoteAnd Justice For All is beyond "pop thrash".
:lol
you fuckin' git, before the black album, "one" was a staple of mainstream rock radio. and dyer's eve is one of the most pandering songs they've ever written pre-load. and justice for all augured the end, despite some great songs.

It's a pretty damn complex album. You guys are pathetic. It puts my pathetic-ness in perspective.
I got owned? I'm not the one denying that Master of Puppets is a classic :lol
Or that And Justice is a complex album
He said hardcore metal. Stop reading selectively.
Master of Puppets is more interesting than either of those albums. You can't even get your Metallica hierarchy correct.

Do you think I fucking don't know that? I'm saying there's nothing "middle of the road" about Ride the Lightning - it's pure metal. Unless you want to waste my time with more bubububu i hurd fade to black on the radio mommy likeded it omg shit. Where did I say it was better than MoP?
Master of Puppets is one of my favorite albums. I listed it in the previous classic albums thread.

I never said it wasn't metal. I just said it's not really that special and that there's better thrash out there.

Now you're putting words in my mouth lol. Where did I say Ride the Lightning was better than MoP? Reading is fundamental
I'm saying there's nothing "middle of the road" about Ride the Lightning - it's pure metal
There's nothing middle of the road about Ride the Lightning or their first album lol.
And how did you get to that conclusion? Ugh.
There's nothing middle of the road about Ride the Lightning or their first album lol.
Um, no it wasn't. That whole discussion was relating to the accessibility and metal-ness of the albums. How you came to this stupid conclusion is beyond me. This is getting into Willco territory now, aka "create a wedge issue to change the subject".

bubububu i hurd it on the radio and my brother like it so it must be da suck

Dude, the entirety of your post, which was a response to one of mine, was:QuoteThere's nothing middle of the road about Ride the Lightning or their first album lol.
bubububu i hurd it on the radio and my brother like it so it must be da suck
Does that NOT look like an admission of favoring those first two albums over the rest of their material to anyone else? Don't blame me for misinterpreting something when it was your lack of command over turning thoughts into sentences that caused the miscommunication.
OUR TROLLING IS SO BAD OMG!
He's owned. He can go to sleep listening to his middle of the road, non-adventurous, overplayed thrash.
Guns n Roses and AC/DC are heavy metal? Hahahahahaha. Where is Ecrofirt? He needs to see this thread.

I'm a nub. I'm black too. Any rock act that has extraneous amount of electric guitars is heavy metal to me.
What the hell is this shit? Some of you... >:(
Trivium - Tread The Floods (Shut the fuck up, their new album is good)

In Flames - Embody The Invisible
DUDES, TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL
opeth = prog metalqft
tool = hard/prog rock
I posted some killer songs.
I'm not denying this. Except that Opeth is just plain suck.
You picked the wrong AC/DC songs. Thunderstruck man, Thunderstruck
i'm serious about sgt pepper sucking. it's unlistenable drivel. fuck, it's lemurs' favorite album -- that alone should tell you how neutered it is as a musical experience.
Ecro have you listened to A Matter of Life and Death?
Because of Bruce's voice amirite
I'm distinguished mentally-challenged? You are the one downloading an album which you are sure you wont be liking the vocals.I downloaded it in the HOPE that MAYBE I'd like the sound of this album. I've seen Iron Maiden live, I know I like their music. I was hoping that MAYBE there'd be something about Bruce's voice on this album that didn't turn me off immensely.
no hard feelings though :-*
So is there any of the 14 albums of them that you do like?
and again, their sound did change with the new album. It sounds nothing like something they would traditionally do.
Maiden is overrated. Dickinson's voice does suck. Grates on the ears. I hate high pitched vocals in metal almost as much as I hate cookiemonster growling shit. See: Amon Amarth.
In Flames is the shit. Nightrage (at least the new album Ermac sent me) is dope. Soilwork is dope. I don't like vocals that sound like they are puking. I just like that rush they give, fast guitars and hard hitting SOUNDS. ROCK.Soilwork is pretty dope. I can't wait to see their Interview with Ziltoid the Omniscient. It's supposed to be pretty good. Here's a pic of Bjorn and Devin Townsend, who is producing their next album, together drinking some beers.
My friends went nuts over the latest Amon Amarth album. The lyrics rock, but I can't get into the vocals (and the drums are too much for me as well).I've been listening to Amon Amarth for years now. They're not my favorite but their cds are good and their live performance is even better.
Speed :bowI thought Natural Born Chaos was their best sounding album too.
Hevy Devy :bow
I'm so hyped for the new Soilwork. I think they realized their best sounding (production-wise) album was Natural Born Chaos, which Townsend did.
Hah! Same here. It's the only Soilwork album that I like every song on. Very good stuff.Speed :bowI thought Natural Born Chaos was their best sounding album too.

My friend is SO GODDAMN METAL that he has an Iron Maiden tattoo on his arm. :Dlol, I was talking about Joe in my above post.
