Title: Ridley Scott Directing Robin Hood movie staring Russell Crowe
Post by: Cheebs on April 30, 2007, 08:53:23 AM: This has been rumored for a while but it is now confirmed. Ridley Scott is directing his take on the Robin Hood story with Russel Crowe in the lead role. It is called "Nottingham". At least it will be better than the shitty Prince of Thieves movie.

From all accounts 'A Good Year' was fluff.... hopefully the future will mark it down as the actor/director team being out of their field of interest rather than a harbinger of follow ups squandering the potential set up in Gladiator.

They must have worked it out. This movie seems to paint Robin Hood as a bad guy and the Sheriff as the good guy, should be interesting.
