If Smallville is sci-fi then BSG is a sitcom.

Not a big sci-fi fan at all, but if I was to choose it'd be Firefly, but then people would laugh, so I'm not going to pick anything.

Pfft.  There are at least 3 Doctors who are better protagonists than Picard, possibly four.  Tom Baker as the Dr. is the best sci-fi protagonist EVER.  And he was like mostly deaf.

He got his start on Monty Python first. He took over John Cleese's writing duties when Cleese left after the third season. He is the only "outsider" to ever write for 'python

X-Files should have ended with seasons 1-5 and the movie. The end of the series ruins it. :(

last two seasons were good -- well, the non-myth arcs were. agent doggett :bow :bow

6-7 are abominations, though. never let duchovny write again.

The movie was the worst part of the whole thing.  Any movie that uses bees as a plot point is on my bad side from now on.
yeah it was somewhat weak but it was decent closure for the franchise at least. Things drifted off the deep end soon as the show came back after the film.

also, season 4's "home" is universally considered to be the most disturbing thing ever put on network tv, and that includes the episode of oprah when she got her clit pierced.

i never liked the mythology episodes much, anyway. on the other hand, that episode in season 8 where the undead ghost killer is flaying people alive -- that's awesome!

My dad quit watching the X-Files when he saw "Home."

my dad quit watching borat after the azamat scene. me, i thought "home" was pretty objective look at life in oklahoma as i recall it.

I'm so torn here, I mean, I had such a hard on for Babylon 5.  Farscape was awesome.  Firefly bust mad nuts.  Then of course ST:TNG.  :-\  Too many choices.

Doesn't matter. It's one of the greatest shows ever (same with Hercules). I suggest..nay, DEMAND you put both of those in the poll THIS INSTANT.

The fact that Doctor Who is losing this poll is a sad thing.
