Title: Spider-Man 3
Post by: bork on May 02, 2007, 04:57:51 AM
Just got back from seeing the movie.  I liked it a lot; even the "emo moments" that it has were fine and Maguire made the change in character enjoyable to watch.

I also don't agree that any of the baddies felt like they were hurried along; there may be three of them this time, but it worked out well, I think.  They even kept the black costume/Venom's origins pretty faithful to the original comics.

The movie is also like two and a half hours along with no real breaks in the drama and action, so I'd recommend a good long pee break before you sit down.

Sounds awesome and what I expected.  :)

How was the final battle?

I feel like I can't say anything without spoiling it.

Sounds good. If that's the case then I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

is it more peter or more spidey action? I want the focus on Peter and his life.  :-\ Spidey 2 was great cause of Peter's struggles outside of the Spidey suit and Batman Begins best parts were Bruce Wayne drama.

I MUST KNOW.

I would say it's more Peter.  As a matter of fact,
spoiler (click to show/hide)
the first battle is Peter as himself-- NOT as Spider-Man.  I think a good 30 minutes went by before the suit even appeared

plus there's the struggle with the black suit, which leads the "emo" (but not really) bits, which are fucking hilarious for the most part, not depressing.

To me this movie was more along the lines of the first Spider-Man, but I think it's safe to say if you like the previous two, you'll like this one too.  If you didn't like the previous Spider-Man movies, don't bother.

Bruce Campbell gets more screen time in this one, too!  :D
