omg omg It is AWESOME as expected. Eileen > the mexican, though. By a long shot. She's so fun to use!

Game's great but I still wish that I have one of those Japanese joysticks. I'll buy the 360 version again if someone will come out with a high quality stick for the 360. I don't want to spend too much learning the game on joypad and then be unable to do anything on a stick.

Joysticks suck. Dpad ftw.

I'm better at pulling off movements with a dpad, like for example, a dragon punch motion. However, 3d fighters are much more dependent on button presses and that just sucks on a pad.
-
I suck at stick; I was never an arcade junkie. My skills with a pad aren't bad tho. I have Eileen up to 8th Dan these days and climbing. Vanessa and Pai are probably my two trouble opponents.
However every Akira player i've talked to says he's impossible without a stick.

Yeah Akira sucks without a stick. :(
I suck at doing motions such as going from pressing 1 button to pressing 2 buttons or jumping back and forth between different buttons like Tekken. I guess you could just map a button for punch+kick but it's kinda counterintuitive because you have more buttons to remember.
-
I dunno the shoulder buttons on the pad mitigate a lot of those issues.
-
Yeah there's a couple of eileen's moves I dont whip out often cause they're a little out of the way on the pad.
Im going to grab the 360 version too. I wanna see if they fix some of the AI&Rank issues like 2nd Dan Vanessa playing like an 8th Dan.

I am still not comfortable with L2 and R2's new designs.

I want a PS3 for this game but as much as I've accepted the lack of Online argument for this game (lawl), it really needs to be done. I have no one that would actually want to get good at this game and face me (nor do I know someone that actually owns a PS3).
With the 360, I would find it hilarious if theres Online matches via Live!

I don't think you can ever get use to it. Those triggers are very poorly designed. They suck as triggers and they're less responsive than the DS2 shoulder buttons. It's all harder now to switch between the 2 shoulder rows. I still think that it's more natural to use joystick buttons than to map extra ones to the joypad. It's easier to just use 3 buttons on a joystick than to have 4 more buttons for P+K, P+G, P+G+K, K+G.
-
I just don't get why they didn't make them actual triggers instead of..half assed triggers. It makes no sense.
-
I guess real triggers would be hard to do on the traditional dual shock shape. What's funny is that even developers think the triggers suck. For example, GT:HD doesn't use the triggers for throttle/braking and Resistance don't use them for firing weapons. You can change the mapping but it's obvious that even the developers didn't think that the PS3's triggers are adequate for traditional trigger tasks.

Fun game, just not worth buying full price without online.

BlueTsunami: It'd be such a lagged affair it wouldnt be an accurate reflection of your skills, just your latency...maybe.
Its not like DoA4 where the windows to do things are so fucking huge lag doesnt matter that much, but even then it comes down to latency.

They should have re did the controller but not make the new design suck balls.
