Big Bear Blue: yeah they gonna drill into my brain and shit. I had a horrible time at the dentist last time that has fucked me up mentaly. I smelled burning bone and started to go nutters. I'm resistant to laughing gas and novacaine does little to nothing to me.

I always found trepanation pretty fascinating, personally. I saw that one video of the lady doing it at home, looking in the mirror and... wow. Huge huevos on that woman.

It takes a whole lot of will or just complete dillusion/insanity. Breaking through the skull completely exposes the outer area of your brain (and in amateur Trepanation, the force required to break through the skull ends up with the brain being punctured in some form). Also, the actual fluid surrounding your brain shifts due to the hole.

It supposedly does something to your overall state of being. If I remember correctly, some people are all wound tight because of fluid pressure on the brain, and trepaning was supposed to do something to relieve that.
Now, I'm not saying it WORKS or that I wanted to DO it, but it just sounded interesting.

Trepanation is actually an ancient psychological practice. Egyptians used to do it to try and rid people of demos and stuff. Cool shit.
